My father was born in Abruzzo in 1932. He told me they had snow every year and sometimes would have to shovel to get out of the house. He would have to walk to school in the snow. So it’s not unusual one bit.

I remember walking to school in deep snow in the north of England. We went in a line with a shovel taking turns in clearing a way through. They close schools now with a couple of inches of snow. People are such wimps these days.

I worked near Innsbruck for 3 months in the winter of '88 at the Hotel Olympia. Awesome memories. A couple of good storms. Loved Salzburg and Vienna too!!
