I rehearsed for a year with three other ladies, doing his material for a recording session that was never released. His tunes are still fresh, not all bebop but some with eerie voicings and others with an island lilt. "Valley Land" comes to mind. He had a book out, "A Study in Fourths," with some of his tunes in it.
