Casey, I spotted the hole in that large bag of potting soil when you brought it into the greenhouse. Jason, bless you for taping the hole in that bag shut, so it wouldn't spill onto the pretty new gravel floor of the greenhouse! That made me happy, and it's not even my greenhouse, Lol! The white watering-can pots are darling! I can't wait to see the trailing coleus surrounded by the flowering kale in a couple of months. That should be a beautiful combination! Stay safe, and well Laurence family! ~Margie

Thank you so much for watching Margie! I was super happy he was taping that hole too! haha! In the last video, someone suggested a rug by the potting bench, and I thought that was a brilliant idea! I'm going to have to add one there.

I poured boiling water over all my soil and so far so good, I haven't seen a fungus gnat yet. It was a huge pain because you have to wait for everything to cool plus wash the plant off of the original soil with soapy water. It will be well worth it though if I don't have to deal with the fungus gnats this year. I topped off with a systemic too, and I'm really hoping I'll have healthy houseplants this year. I am not much of a houseplant person, I just sit there staring out the window, anxious for the day I can put them back outside. Of course to have this work, the fungus gnats can't have any access to the indoors or the inside of a greenhouse so I have to keep everything screened until the weather gets really cold.

that’s so awesome you’re growing your house plants to enjoy! And you truly will enjoy it, especially once January and February come😂🤣 it’s right after the holidays, so it is nice to have something to do and take care of.

Hi Casey! Thanks for making this video for us. Because of watching your videos I am overwintering coleus cuttings this year! What systemic are you adding for bugs? Is it added to the soil or is it a foliar spray? Thanks!
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm

that’s awesome! I’m so happy I’m able to help! We just use the Bonide systemic. they have one that is labeled for in the house if that is where you are growing your stuff.

Hi Casey! When ever I transplant I always wait a few days to then trim the plant back. I do that to reduce the stress that the plant is already going through. Not sure if I'm being to cautious but it just seems to make sense to me. Curious as to why you think Aloe is a spiritual plant.

The trailing plum coleus is gorgeous!!! If there is a good thing to hoard it is plants!!! I'm so envious of your beautiful green house. Silly question, I ordered a hellebore online, when delivered the stem and leaves were completely severed from the roots which were still in the soil. I did get a refund but decided to see if I put the top in water if it would root. Well in a month it has two tiny roots.I'm hoping it grows more roots and I will put the hellebore in soil. Is it okay to keep it in my cold house til spring? I live in the northeast and my house is cool all winter. Thank you for any info you can offer and thank you for sharing your gorgeous property with us.

I order only from a few companies, but I’m pretty sure it was from Johnny’s. The other companies I’ve used and been happy with our Harris, Burpee and park. There are other good companies as well, but these are the few that I tend to order from the most. Johnny’s and Harris are the ones I use the most
