The Lumina has to be my all time favorite Chevy NASCAR, just something about that style. Offered to buy one off neighbor, he died shortly afterwards, but his title was messed up, so it went to the his family. Haven't seen DOT in while, think I'm gonna need a movie night. These are really sharp builds, loving that Goody's car. Amazing how he did the beat up cars too, and that camera car!!!!!!! I still have the magazine with your Superflo car on the cover. Definitely a great showcase video!! Thank you, Mark!!

Jay really killed those. I watched his progress on his site on Facebook. He really took every step to make them as accurate as possible. It blew me away how detailed he made these. He thought of everything.

Jay's work is nothing short of amazing. I've seen several of these in person at ACME, and they are just as awesome, if not better, than the images shown here. I love seeing his builds and "in process" posts on FB, and I certainly admire his talent! Thanks for sharing, Mark.....and great job, Jay!

Are you kidding me? "Days Of Thunder" is a favorite of mine. I saw it in the theater, when it came out 11 times! I bought it on VHS, DVD & I have it on Laser disc as well. These builds have inspired me to do this as well. I am building three of these cars, in the film. NOW I'm gonna build the rest, because YES.... It IS very cool indeed! Thanks brother. Cool days of thunder cars, I especially like the camera car. As I told you in a previous comment I do Indy car modeling and your video of Jay's cars has inspired me to look at Mario's camera car when he was doing the IMAX movie about Indy cars, I have several shots of it at Mich. speedway. Love that movie! I made my daughter watch it too 😂 I've started collecting lumina kits to do a couple of the movie cars. He did an excellent job on those. Even the camera car and cameras in the bumpers! Thanks for sharing those sir!

In the overhead shot of the first race with the superflo car, the announcer said Cole Trickle and Rowdy Burns was on the front row. But you can clearly see the Goodwrench Dale Earnhardt number 3 and the Derrick Cope Purolater number 10. One of many mistakes in the movie. But a great movie anyway.

NOT the fan of the film you may be. Car designs for the film were GREAT. Story just OK...but LOTS of bad info that new fans took as truth. Technical issues are what bugs me. Races start at one track, then have footage from other tracks. In on part Cole is drafting a BUD Thunderbird.....mid lap the car becomes a BUD MCSS?!?!?!? I was in the model hobby biz and held NASCAR license at the time. I just felt it was a little sloppy and disrespectful. All said the models are GREAT!!! I did the black Exxon car as soon as Monogram sent me a Lumina...my fav too. Jay has dome well..... PS Talladega Nights is more fun film!

Thanks Dave!! I agree, there were a number of noticeable errors all over! lol (especially to those who know and follow nascar of that time) but that’s Hollywood (Hollyweird) I guess.
