I've been with navy federal since 1994 as well as usaa and pen fed since being in the military. I still remember the branches that I walked into to open these accounts. They told me to never close the acts even when I go to another base. I'm glad I listened

I live in New York, I'm a 62 yr old retired nurse on social security disability. Somebody hacked my info and tried to open up a naval credit account in my name. However the bank red flagged it and sent me a letter trying to verify if it was actually me.. People trying to steal from other people then it takes you so long to clear it all up...

What are you talking about? You can just open a secured account for 500.00 and they will give you 1,000 in one year and it looks very good on your credit report. Just make sure you pay the account every month like you are supposed too. You don't have to get all those accounts to get credit from Navy Federal if you don't have all that money she just said.

No and they will open it but once they can’t verify whatever you put on there, they will close it. I had one and the person that referred me wasn’t eligible. So I had them for about a month. Received two direct deposits and got a secured credit card. Then on pay day they told me to come and retrieve my money that my account was closed. So I wouldn’t suggest doing it this way. You can try, but I would rather do it right the first time. Cause they do have a lot of good benefits.

Best way to do it is the way I did it my cousin was in it and I received the secure access code but I used the staying with cousin eligibility but u have to show proof even still.
