Hey Reto, I just wanted to let you know you can open and close the deck editor with TAB for easier access. Also you can enter battle with more than 20 cards in your deck, 20 is just the minimum. So feel free to add every card to you want.

Yeah, appreciated, but typical trading card game logic leads me to believe anything over 20 is your deck is value draining fluff unless you somehow can generate lots of card draw. You want to make sure every card in your deck deserves to be there, so unless you _will_ draw more than 20 cards via card effects, there _usually_ isn't a good strategic reason to have more.

@@Retromation I agree. After playing for a while my sweet spot was a deck size of around 25 but It is entirely different based on playstyle, which is why I love this game so much. I love your content and you are my favorite KZbinr, keep up the good work and always feel comfortable taking a break if you need it. You craft so much wonderful content and we are all thankful.

The starter deck of Leshy had squirrels in it. It helped me breeze through this part of the game

@@smievil Energy is quite unique in the game, works kinda like mana from hearthstone and whatnot. (Spoiler below) P03 will become something like leshy, a DM in “bottopia”, pretty similar mechanisms but with a energy deck deck and completely new feelings.

In case you miss it, the stoat is clearly the P03 robot from the looks of it, the stink bug is the next one we're gonna face ( he onced transformed into that face) and the mage thingy is probably the stunted wolf xD. It's just my theory though.

I'm loving this version of inscryption but I wanted to point out around 31:00 it's actually really clever how they handled this. Someone who died less to Leshy prob would enjoy a challenge, and by the time you get to him here, you've learned the game enough to handle that. A really interesting way of doing a difficulty increase in a roguelike

Honestly not expecting a small-team game to be so successful with these game mode changes. It reads like Yuki Taro inspiration to me, as a big fan of his games and how experimental they can be. I was worried that the horror elements would be too overpowering, so I’m presently surprised that Inscription has still been able to keep the card game at the forefront. I also love Pokemon TCG as well as the early Yu-Gi-Oh gameboy games (I don’t enjoy how bogged down and expensive both those trading card series have become), and Inscription is such a love letter to those simple, solid times. I wonder if the devs are going to make official cards or some sort of standalone multiplayer game (like how Yu-Gi-Oh has a bunch of digital pvp battlers), because I would love to play this TCG against people at my college! There’s a big group of people who play physical MTG in the student lounge of my college’s library building, and they would totally be down to play the TCG part of this game! Regardless, this is the best October release in a very long time, IMO. There’s so much potential for the devs to continue past this game so I really hope this is more than a one-off!

Its really cool that they combine so many different card summoning styles in this. I'm going to guess the gems are a type of tier system. You can always play a green gem, and then to play an orange, you need a green first. Then to play the cyan, you need an orange first.

That's what drew me to it too. Its like four different card games mashed together, but it works somehow. The beasts are Yu-Gi-Oh, Tech is Hearthstone, Wizards are, conveniently, Magic, and I've seen several theories on what the undead are supposed to be, but I couldn't come up with a comparison as good as the others.

i had to first use the auto-build but after that i did not have to change much at all. i dont know the magic deck but the other 3 go well together in a way, the bots are basicaly free each turn and can be sacrificed for beast and creates a bone and the undead are free if you have enough bones and can in turn be sacrificed for beasts. In general beasts are the strongest as they have a more demanding cost, bots take time to ramp up and the undead... benefits from death and the bone engine is real

If you can, you _probably_ shouldn't. Typically in a card game you want as thin of a deck as you can make without running out of card draws because you want every card to have the highest chance to be a valuable synergistic card, which means you want 20 cards that work very well together instead of 30 cards that work pretty well together.

I was really upset when the game completely changed. Wish there was a fully thought out roguelike version of this game. The atmosphere and cool card combos was AWESOME. If it was the whole game, Inscryption would have been my #1 roguelike ever. Oh well. I guess if that's his MO, I just wish the dev made the store page more obvious that it was going to change. Literally never heard of the dev or the games he's made before hand. While I hated the balance of the second act, I'm still intrigued by the story, so I'll keep watching! Won't play it myself though :/

@@AecertGaming No, lol. But the game is only advertised as a Roguelike Deckbuilder when it isn't even one. The demo, videos, pictures, decription, and tags only indicate it's a roguelike deckbuilder. Pretty fucked up to be told it's one only to finish the first part and realize it's not one. Don't you think the game should have at least SOME indication that what it's advertising isn't actually what you'll be getting? The dev even flat out states it's a roguelike in the description, but how is that even true? It's a straight up lie because if you ever beat a run, you can't go back. Lol. I paid for a roguelike, and didn't get one.

@@jeremydavis6913 main reason because the stoat is the first non enemy character you meet so people think there is a greater story when you choose him on the play through .. it is psychologic manipulation by the devs (if the character was the stink bug ,people would have chosen the stink bug first during this second phase), this game really shows that the player is never truly in control.
