In nightmare mode I think the developer should introduce a time limit to examine the neighbour's details and appearance. Maybe after two or three minutes, the neighbours could become angry at being held up then maybe after five minutes or so they could jump through the glass, killing the player and ending the run. That way not only does the player face jeopardy from letting in a doppelganger but also from angering monstrous neighbours willing to kill them.

Actually, the card game variation is played a lot in SEA. And the strat is to use the lower card first since the rules state that you can only play from small value to large or of same value. @1:25:01 I had to rewind to actually figure out what was wrong with this Exael Dopple myself. Since you didn’t interrogate him, you likely wouldn’t have noticed unless you paid attention when he first greeted you. The dopple did not have sharp teeth while the real Exael does.

For the 2nd Quachil dopple, watch the greetings: 33:25 1:54:34 Her head doesn't move as much when she speaks, maybe that means she's not speaking telepathically? Like, it's much more animated when she greets him for the real one(I used an earlier one in the example because he shoves a paper in her face immediately for the later real Quachil). Even the first dopple with the smaller eye was more animated. The second dopple's head is less animated when speaking. It's DEFINITELY not the misaligned eyes. I scoured the real one and dopple, they're the same. Absolutely.

dlive is the reason I started playing it, despite having watched others play - like you said, they didn't give it time or do it justice like he does. I didn't think I'd like this type of game until his playthrough, then I tried it and loved it and was great at it (still only one error in all this time). the attention he pays, the character moments, the humour, and the ever-growing skill, it really is so much better than 95% of people rushing or not getting it.

​@pemanilnoob587 it really is, and on top of that, it reminds me of issues I have had with other great games not being done justice by youtubers- I remember watching somebody skip out on so many quests in Prey to "keep the playthrough short and interesting", and ending up not showing the depth and creativity of the worldbuilding (something the game truly is in a league of its own with). I think sometimes "reacting" takes priority over displaying the strengths of a game, which I know lots of people enjoy, but I much more appreciate watching dlive play this well and show me how much I would end up liking it.

I don't know what was wrong with that Quachil towards the end, but it wasn't the eyes. I remembered once thinking the real one's eye was off for the same reason, so I rewound to check, then I pulled the wiki photo up beside the doppel - it looked perfectly identical. to be absolutely certain (because a lot of people in the comment thread I saw insisted it was the eye), I screenshotted the real one you got earlier in the video and screenshotted that doppel, then I went into my art program and turned the opacity down, and put the two screenshots on top of each other. their eyes are in exactly the same place down to the pixel. somebody mentioned the reduced head movement of said doppel in that thread, and that's all I can see thus far, but it's so slight that I'm very dubious. this is the most I've ever struggled with a doppel.
