How dude, just how? When I touch the ball, no matter how soft the touch is, the ball just go away like crazy. And not just that, also my car bounce back like the ball is hitting the car back. How this guys get to do soft touches, ball staying really close to the car so they keep playing with the ball in the air?? How can their car follow along the ball direction without the car losing alignment with the ball, or car bouncing backwards.? Please someone explain...🫤

their boost management. the big thing people don’t understand is the “thrust” of boost in rl takes time to build up, so some times the “thrust” needed from 10 boost is hard to read and a player with low experience w boost management will you 30 to do the same thing. basically, you’re using way more boost than you need to for soft touches, it also depends on the trajectory of your car, and the part of your car that hits the ball. (i.e. a corner touch will hit the ball harder than if you hit it with the front of your car)

@blakxnz thanks bro, it makes sense. I'm gonna try what you saying. It really stressed me out that I am trying to learn and do more car and ball control but I can't even do the basics bc of what I said in first comment. So trying to learn high tier mechanics is literally impossible for me. It just feels as I am training and practicing and spending hours and hours with the wrong settings.

I am also struggling with this for over a year, although I start to get a real 'feeling' of control in the air as of late and with that my adjustments in the air, speed of the touches in the air and especially with what part do I hit the the ball in the air gets better with more consistent result. Now get me right here, I am a high diamond, low champ player that is trying to get my fundamentals up mostly. But with soon 1400 hours in the game and trying to get in some higher mechanics as well I do feel like I am ready to learn them soon. With my higher control I also feel like I easier get to the ball with the right angle, speed and making the right adjustment at the time of the touch of the ball in the air. I Think it is important to make constant small adjustments and what I noticed is that the car isn't really bouncing off the ball in the air if you do an adjustment or air roll at the moment of the touch. As of the ball that is bouncing away at the moment you touch it in the air is very relatable. However I also noticed I often boosted way too hard towards the ball and always touched the ball with the front bumper of my car, which makes for a pretty hard touch away from you, making you boost and chase the ball even more. In the end I have come the furthest with first actual having the feeling of control in the air, than playing around with that, along with good boost management in the air and than gradually try different things in the air with the ball.
