For whoever is actually struggling with Keratosis Pilaris (not the one in the video), use lactic acid soap and after showering, use urea cream in all the affected areas. I have that shit almost all over my body and I went to the dermatologist a few days ago and she recommended me urea (which I also used before but it didn't work so this time is a stronger one I think) + other cream but that one is just at the nights and like once a week. Anyways, I was thinking to lasered it off at least on my legs but I'm scared that I doesn't work much. Sorry, that's absolutely not strawberry skin. Strawberry skin or chicken skin is from skin conditions called Keratosis Pilaris or Folliculitis. Just having stubbly hair doesnt mean you have strawberry skin. With both KP and folliculitis there is redness from inflammed skin and a lot of texture. Taking hot baths or showers will dry out the skin, aggravating both conditions. While exfoliation and moisturizing help with both conditions, with folliculitis you have to use medicated moisturizer. One should also avoid scented or dyed products on the skin to avoid further irritation. Shaving against the grain of hair growth will also aggrivate the skin. I have dealt with KP my whole life and into adulthood, so I'm quite familiar with "strawberry skin" which isn't even a condition, its simply a description of the appearance of the aforementioned skin conditions. Please stop with disingenuous marketing.

Shave twice a week with exfoliating and moisturizing Is the end of the strawberry legs. Do it to your whole body and your will notice the change after 3 to 4 weeks. Girls shave all your body... yes even the areas that doesn't grow hair. Shaving is ninga in removing all the dead skin and all these skin pumps will go away. Stand In the hot water make your skin soft. Make foam well with whatever shower gel you use. And exfoliate deeply but gently. Then wash . Then another time foam your shower gel well to guarantee smoothness shaving and start shaving well. Wash and shave again and wash and go out . First time you will feel .. Ok not very smooth . You will feel little pumps here and there but second time you will feel better. Third time your will feel silkyyyyyyy .And i swear by it. And btw this is chicken girl before I focus on shaving and moisturizing twice or 3 a week. I am waiting for your results.

my grandmother told me to avoid shaving my legs when I was a teenager, she said that later they would fall out or fade away on their own. She was right. 😮 as a teenager I shaved my legs, sometimes when I went to university I only shaved them when there was an important event, swimming pool, etc. As of today, the last time I shaved my legs was two years ago. I'm lucky that I'm also a blonde, so my hair is lighter, almost transparent, but my grandmother told me that shaving the hair on my legs too often causes them to grow darker, so it's worth avoiding shaving your legs when you're a teenager, so that later you can enjoy less of them and a paler color. I'm 25 years old and I confirm this theory :)

morrocans have been doin this for ages, but yeah: just wet your skin and scrub with that glove and all those ingrowns and black spots are gone. Please dont shave after, use nair cream. You come out so soft. Also put body oil (almond oil) WHILE YOUR SKIN IS STILL WET! Trust me, it works better. And THEN towel dry. And of course perfume yourself

I actually bought myself a reusable razer where I only need to change the blade and some brick of shaving cream that I have to activate with with a rack and it worked wonders. I hate shaving because it took me ages. After using that blade I shaved both of my hair legs within 20 minutes. It's the best - never going back to these old razers.

All of this okay but what about the fact that when those hair grow back again they irritate like hell!!!
@dewyhours2 ай бұрын
This is why it is so important to exfoliate! Exfoliating will avoid any irritation since you won’t get anymore ingrown hairs or razor bumps. Also, using a body oil to moisturize after shaving is essential to hydrate your skin which also prevents irritation 🥰

I agree, but also for us girlies with thick dark hair on somewhat light skin, if I don't shave against the grain, the black root of the hair is so obvious against my skin and there's almost no point in removing it when it looks that way. Waxing fixes the issue for me, but who has the time 😭

@LilacMoon15132 ай бұрын
Also, exfoliate your skin after shaving. Cause sometimes dead skin cells get into the (now )empty pores and blocks it causing ingrown hair which is quite painful. So basically double exfoliation is important. One before shaving and one after.

Shaving *is* exfoliating. There's no need to do it before.

I bought and IPL device from Amazon and didn’t think it will work but after 5-6 weeks I got rid of most of the hair (I’m a brunette and used to shave legs every 3 days, actually the leg hair started growing same evening and smooth skin lasted less than 24 hours). I do my whole body with it. Armpits and legs so far had best results. My bikini area is stubborn but I’ll try further because I can see the device is working 🎉
