As you well know by the movie is called young guns two, Bon Jovi (on a solo tip) was asked by the producers for permission to use "Wanted dead or alive" as the soundtrack & Bon Jovi refused saying that was a classic & meant to much to the group. He also said to them to give him a copy of the movie to watch & he will in turn write a hit song that describes the movie from beginning to end & that's how blaze of glory came to life. You have to see the complete movie all the way through. I am a African American woman that has been a Bon Jovi (as a group) fan since the beginning in this late 1970's (when it was not really popular for me see them live & be the only black person in the stadiums). Every show they performed in the 1980's & 1990's @ Madison sq garden & the Meadowlands I was there. The only other band I did that for was Journey & I don't regret one moment & it was an experience ! This was for Young Guns 2. Jon made a very brief appearance in the movie. Both of the movies were awesome! You should seriously watch them!

Jon Bon Jovi did the soundtrack for Young Guns II, and this was his only solo number 1 hit.

I have the uncensored version of this video on DVD. A storm come up and you can see where lightning struck the movie screen and caught it on fire

Love this song. I used to listen to it before each one of my football games. Also each time I hear it, I also start thinking of Renegade by Styx. Gotta check that joint out!
