There’s a Minecraft mod that adds a villager into the game (along with many others) called the shady villager. The shady villager would make trades such as 8 gold/iron/diamonds/lapis/emeralds for a block of that type. If you traded the villager, he became invisible and fast, in an attempt to escape. When you tried to use an item bought, the item description was, “on closer inspection, this is just a cardboard box.” spamton reminds me of this.

You know I feel like this is false advertising. this isn't _just_ NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO, but the entire Spamton encounter? like what? And also its REALLY good? I've seen a lot of deltarune ch.2 noteblock covers by now, and a lot of them feel kinda lazy. Most of them only bother adapting the main melody, one layer of bass (if that), one layer of percussion, and call it done, losing SO MUCH of the charm of the original composition. With this there's clearly been a lot of effort put in to creatively use the limited instruments the noteblocks provide to maintain the _feel_ of the original mix. Even the villager hurt sounds to mimic the vocal stabs! Excellent cover! At least for me, this sets the bar for what a _quality_ noteblock cover should try to be.
