Phil, i would also recommend TYA Live at the Fillmore East. The Woodstock film hadn't been released yet so the audience wasn't expecting everything to sound like I'm Going Home. Also they did new number from Cricklewood Green that the audience hadn't heard yet. Very good cd.

Decided to pick this up yesterday & it arrived moments ago - the price is not too bad right now. I also don't really know their stuff beyond the Woodstock clips so it's a great opportunity to explore. I don't think I'll go chronologically, I'll go with the highlights you mention right away.

Hi Jorge, I was the same as you apart from Going Home in Woodstock and the live album I was not familiar with their other albums. This set is an excellent way to get to know this band and see how they progressed. If you like blues based rock you will really enjoy it. Phil

Hi Phil, Thank you for this video. Quite a nice hard box. The album sleeves are thin but at least the colours are bright. Yes, funds are low but this box is definitely on my radar. Such a great band.... a shame that people only know of them for their Woodstock appearance. Not just a coincidence that Alvin Lee was know of the fastest guitarist in the West. Great video. I already have the first version, which was a bigger box with a book that housed the cds. The collection was always called 1967-1974. It wasn't called The Studio Albums. I'm guessing Undead was included but not the live album, because Undead had new songs

It seems to be about £35 here now. I think for 10 albums and a very good booklet it is worth the price.. This is a bit like your with Caravan, apart from Recorded Live I did not have any Tens Years After so this was a great way to get up to speed. Phil

Fillmore 1970 was better than recorded live. The deluxe edition 2 cd recorded live is expensive now here in the states. It's great too . Alvin Lee didn't want anything to do with fame. Leo Lyons says as soon as they bacame famous in the states and touring , Alvin became a bit of a recluse and hard to get up to do promos and other things for the band.

Phil, firstly many congratulations on hitting 1K subs. Richly deserved. The TYA set looks very good for the price but it seems that the bonus tracks included on the 2002 re-issues of their albums are missing, which is a pity as they feature previously unreleased material. What has become known as 'Their First Album' from 1967 has some great ones. Check out 'The Sounds', 'Spider in my web' and 'Woodchoppers Ball'. Perhaps if you want the fullest picture maybe buying the individual discs is an option albeit a more expensive one.

Hi Peter, thank you I should of mentioned this aspect of leaving of the bonus tracks. I know some people do not like them tagged onto the original albums but they could have compiled them onto a separate CD for completeness. Perhaps some new fans after getting this may go on to buy specific albums separately ? Phil
