Blockbuster was the first single I ever bought back in January 1973. I was 10 years old. They were the first band that I really loved....and still do to this day. Those batch of albums from 74 to 78 are as good as any of the so called supergroups of that era. Andy Scott remains one of my fav guitarists. He still has that sharp economic melodic sound he always had.

Love your comment, I was 10 in 1973. My first song was Little Willie. Andy Scott is also my favorite guitarist. I place bass guitar because of Steve. I roller skated to lots Sweet songs. Sweet brings me some great memories. I really love this Sweet lineup ❤

The Sweet were my first introduction to the world of pop / rock via Hell Raiser. Just wish Andy would title the band 'Andy Scott's Sweet' as the other original members were so vital to the band's success. I just can't watch this version as, without Brian Connolly their enigmatic lead singer, it is just not the same. However kudos to Andy in keeping the band going and wish him every success with the new album.

My sister had the single Coco and she would dance in her room to it . A vinyl 7 inch single . It was just so , so very catchy . I am actually revisiting Sweet due to your enthusiasm Phil . It's also exciting to see someone of our " demographic " , I'll be 67 soon , showing so much enthusiasm for the music they are making 😂❤ Looking back on that Bowie , T Rex , Slade , Sweet with renewed interest . Only found last week my singles back , stuck away somewhere and not seen in 30 years . First single was Ballroom Blitz and I still have all those Sweet ones till Action . After that my interests in music shifted to Yes , Genesis , Pink Floyd and such , and I turned to LP's. Now at 65 , I bought again my very first Sweet albums ( Sweet FA & Desolation Boulevard ) , have again about 900 LP's , play cassettes , reel-to-reel , cd , sacd , downloads , bluray , I like all media as long it sounds ok. Reel-to-Reel is currently my favorite and so much better in dynamics than vinyl. Will certainly try that new Sweet album , I'm curious . thx !
