Thank you for this! I am retired from the federal government, and many people do not realize how much they depend on these government experts and technicians for their daily life. I worked for Social Security, so think checks for retirement, disability and survivors plus we administrated the SSI benefits among many other things. The jobs are not exciting, so most have no idea even of their existence. But they are demanding and extremely technical. It took me four years of training and OJT to start to think of myself as competent. These kinds of jobs are done by those 2 million civil servants. And believe it or not, most of those employees are dedicated to serving the American public, to doing what's best and what's right for them. They do not belong to any deep state.

There are many people who were supporting non-naturalization laws, were people would have to live in the United States for 21 years before they were considered to citizen. As opposed to being naturalized as soon as they were born. Again, I stress, everybody should research history. "Gender dysphoria is incompatible with military service" is something that only could have been written by people who haven't served, or have forgotten what service was like. Soldiers care about the capabilities someone brings to the fight, not what is in their pants. Black services members were integrated decades ago and the barriers for women to participate in combat roles are dropping. Don't Ask Don't Tell was instituted as a way for LGBT service members to serve quietly and then repealed a decade ago so that they could finally serve openly. All of this helped drop artificial barriers that had nothing to do with combat capability and everything to with bigotry. Americans have a lot of respect for the military and if trans members successfully serve, that thwarts conservative efforts to ostracize and ban them from society. We currently have trans members serving in the military. They deserve to be allowed to continue to serve if they choose to without the fear of being forced out by this hateful plan. They voluntarily raised their right hand to do something Trump fought tooth and nail to avoid. I'll note this as well...the military healthcare system TRICARE covers gender-affirming treatments like viagra and other reproductive healthcare. Why is that ok, but not treatment for gender dysphoria?
