For me, Neon is also the best and most intuitive 3D program for Atari Falcon. I think it's largely based on DSP performance.

With my DFB1X (40Mhz version) the scene is rendered in just over 2 minutes. With the same settings as yours. I set everything to on with the PRGFlags programme. 😉 Greetings Uwe

Fajne porównanie, ale 2x szybszy zegar przekłada się na minimalną różnice w renderze, czyżby to liczył DSP a nie CPU?

Mam bardzo podobne wnioski z tego testu. Trochę bliźniacza sytuacja jak w przypadku odtwarzacza mp3 dla Falcona. Głównie zaangażowane jest DSP a szybszy CPU daje możliwość wydajniejszej pracy od kilku do kilkunastu procent. Pewnie kolejny test zrobię właśnie z odtwarzaczem mp3. Pozdrawiam

Is the TT-RAM declared on the system and Neon set to use it?

Extended TT memory was available in the system. The program does not use it. The program makes heavy use of the math processor.

@@nowy80Retro Very modest gains (~10-15%) will be seen on programs that only use ST-RAM. FPU speed may be improved as access is 32 bit but that depends on the opcodes employed (some are only 8 or 16 bit anyway).
