I was a patreon supporter and canceled. I really like Zach and Jessie, we shared emails, but the Elon worship was too revolting for me, I just had to stop watching their show. I bought Tsla in 2015, my Cybertruck has been ready to configure for months and I finally deleted the email. I remember when Elon open sourced his tech because he wanted other car companies to succeed in the EV transition. That's when I thought Elon cared about the mass extinction event we're in. The biggest problem I have with Elon is that he has abandoned his duties at Tesla. If he doesn’t need to be there then we need to find a new CEO. Tesla vehicles need up to date software so it doesn’t become paperweight.

Norway: We are about 7 $/gallon in freedom units. Not that I have paid for the stuff for years, of course. Difficult to know if this is slightly more expensive than if the sales volumes were higher. We are buying about as much gasoline as in the 1960s last time I was able to find some numbers, but diesel volumes have not gone down drastically. You have to remember that cars last a long time, so even if everybody suddenly only buys EVs, half of the vehicles on the road are ICE a decade later. Loads of smaller gas stations, especially on expensive land or in rural communities have closed down, but that is happening everywhere to some extent. The way you really see the difference, are the new stations built along highways by brands like Shell and Circle K. Loads of chargers, a couple of pumps on the side for backward compatibility, and facilities for people who are there for 10-30 minutes anyway: Nice toilets, cafe-type food and tables inside and out so you can sit down and have a coffee and a snack, play areas for kids... Very civilized stuff compared to stereotypical gas stations from a generation ago.

@@barrybeebenson4860 I do agree with you that from a purely objective point of view, Elon's accomplishments in POE2 weren't entirely his own since he had other people grind a bunch of XP for him. So yes, technically and practically it wasn't all his own accomplishment so by the strictest of definitions, that can be seen as cheating. That being said, it is my understanding that many top ranked players in that game use similar "assistants" to grind the XP for them to get the higher level rarer items etc. So if that's "common practice" enough, then he's just using a simialr tactic to other top ranked players making it less bad overall. I've never played POE2 myself so I have no real gage how much grinding that game involves but I spoke to friends that have played that game quite a bit and they do seem to agree it's very grindy and told me many people get "external help" to rank up. Not defending Elon's unwillingness to admit to it at first. Just saying that if that is common practice enough it ould be construed as "part of the game" almost. So maybe that's why they defended his position. Again, on the most objective of definitions of whether the accomplishments in the game were Elon's alone or not, you are correct. From the point of view of: what is common practice so can I get away with this thing... well... as they say, don't hate the player... hate the game... perhaps?

You’re wrong about T cars delivering themselves to the delivery lot at the Fremont Factory. This may have happened once for an earnings time video but not anymore. I was there in the South Lot yesterday 2/3/2025 and the Thursday before. Only people driving cars with a van following along eventually to pick them up and bring them back. I got a demo Y from them each time and had it FSD (13.2.6) me to In-N-Out Burger for lunch each time. I’ve felt as some others have felt too about Tesla. I have a M3LR since 2018 and have always supported the EV movement and a fanatic even when the model S came out back then. But the direction that Elon has taken with extreme views and illegally raiding our govt agencies was over the top. I justified staying supportive even if on the fence but it’s gotten to where I can no longer support his actions nor company relations. I agree as said too that Tesla would be better wo him as ceo. I may well see if I change my mind but I fully encourage other EV makers to keep innovating and hopefully surpass Tesla with similar tech and entertainment options within their vehicles.
