I’ve 2016 clocked over 180ks, with snorkel never a issue with TJM. Only thing which has gone wrong is the hot pipe. Other then that she been fantastic.

Yes that's true all trucks do that squeaking sound all you got to do is wash a clean and put some w40 and in some cases put some grease that's all it's normal does not mean that it's broken or nothing like that it just needs to be cleaned

Hi mate I’m curious you had a problem driving in the rain because of the snorkle? You said you got water in , this would be a problem for everyone else me included but I’ve had a safari snorkle for 8 years on the standard filter box and never had a problem I would think that maybe the box itself needs a one way drain valve installed this might help Im going to check your videos out I’d like to see more info around your snorkle and filter box this problem really shouldn’t exist

I got some water in it a couple of times when it was absolutely bucketing down rain and I was driving on the highway at 100kms. That's the only time I had water reaching the airbox. I've since put on a 90ish degree silicone hose on the end of it to aim it down and deflect some water for if it rains. I did a fair bit of research after it happened (should have done it before) but its a common issue with staino's, the water travels up them and gets sucked in. The water diverter I put on it helps for when its stationary but not when its insane rain and on the highway. Never had any issues driving around town in the rain. I'm just a sucker for the staino sound - brings out the little kid in me making choo choo sounds. I agree the box needs a way to drain water though, it's on the list of things to modify!

@@GetThatBread I can’t blame you either , check out the Toyota Prado air box one way valves you can buy as a spare part maybe you could fit them some how I’ve just seen the video where you put the diverter in hopefully you can sort that out cheers.

Hey mate, its got the standard 2.3L dCi engine. Might have a different motor in other countries.

Have the same year car as you also been trouble free just want to know fitting the intercooler is for keeping the engine cooler in stock form or are you planning a engine tune .cheers from Shepparton Victoria.

Thanks for checking out the video Rod, I have sold the Nav but at the time it was bit of both, was to get it up higher as my bash plate restricted airflow to the oem one and had planned to get a tube in the future when warranty ran out 😀
