Great review Nate, i like the starlight sensor on my Wyze cams. I shut my porch and external house lights off cause my cameras see better with low light.

I’m going to mount this on my e bike to keep an eye on it while at work. I have Verizon but willing to switch to AT&T just for this camera. Thanks for the info.

Cool. It also has an alarm where you can arm it and if it detects movement it blasts a siren.

This is interesting. I will have to try and keep updated on the network availability for this camera. I have two unlimited data lines with Verizon, pre-paid. One line I'm only using occasionally. This would be an ideal use for this unused cellular line. Where I would like to set up a camera out in my woods is to far for wifi. Thanks for the review.

PLEASE PLEASE tell me how does the cell card really work? How long does it last. What is the REALITY of the amount of money you spend for the AMOUNT OF CELL GB? I guess. I am at my brain fogged wits end. My elderly Aunt is alone. And in the boonies.

I have a property in the middle of no where (no internet/power) and would like to have a cam (watch activity on lot). No power to the site, no light on property (except from pole on public road), and no wifi access. The solar panel would require power. I'm still not sure how to set up an operable camera. Any suggestions? I'm just thinking I need something to attach to a tree and communicate to my cell phone (2 hours away). Thanks! Great video.

The biggest problem with Eufy camera is that no support for desktop app, especially for Mac. For me, supporting only mobile app isn't sufficient. Mobile app is fine on the go but can't provide the viewing experience that you get on a large display from Mac, especially viewing multiple cameras. This is what prevents me from getting Eufy cameras instead of another brank which I am not going to name.

They do have a web based login to view all the cams on a desktop: mysecurity.eufylife.com/#/login

Let me make sure I have this correct. There is no monthly subscription for this cellular data? One of the comments above you stated that it’s factored into the purchase price of the unit or that it is prepaid. Is that correct? How long will the battery life expect to last if it was placed in the woods without the solar panel? I’m sure that is a relative question depending upon how much activity moves across it but I have pretty low activity and only expect a few photos per day. Is it safe to assume without a solar panel that the battery would last a couple months?
@NaterTater2 жыл бұрын
Data would be a plan you would buy separately from the camera. Either montly or lump data prepaid (ie 12mo plan). Yes 2-3 mo is reasonable assumption of battery life for your situation.

How much will the Sim card cost to re activate? As much as having a cell phone line from AT&T?
@NaterTater2 жыл бұрын
You can reload it for $10 for 2GB of data. If you plan to use it alot you could get a monthly data only sim card from any number of retailers for $20 a month or so. Maybe less.
