I really liked this one Elisha. You are one rare person here on KZbin. Very optimistic. I've been feeling very doomer-ish lately. You give me another perspective on life. Thank you. Your new videos, the long ones, are the best IMO. I really like the direction you're going in. From a long time watcher (ca 2018).

15:25 this statement rings true. I'm 31, been watching you since 2018 and back then I was interested in the self improvement stuff, as I assume you were. Nowadays I don't give a f about being perfect. You said "you're not supposed to be perfect, you're supposed to be a man". That's real. To the younger guys: if you're obsessing over being perfect, you're not being a man. Let go of 100% of your anger by forgiving, do what you need to do and just be. It's extremely simple. Any scheming beyond that is going to be causing problems in your own life. Leave it to God and allow yourself to have peace. Great material as always Elisha

All the friends I had from High-School all became soft and lazy. Low energy low testosterone. It’s like they all became soulless and dead inside. I have nothing in common with them anymore. It’s been a lonely life for many months. Need a better brotherhood man.
@rrrmoney-f6i
@rrrmoney-f6i 11 ай бұрын
Don't compare and create unnecessary importance. "They are low testosterones and I'm not, they are worse and I'm better." You just don't fit in as much with them anymore because of your paths, they probably don't view themselves as soulless. Maybe you developed different hobbies, that's ok. In reality, a good group of friends isn't one that speaks about self improvement 24/7 or money. But a group you can turn to when you don't have a shelter over your head, people who have a good heart and want the best for others. One of my friends smoke weed all day, at the least you can try to help, but that doesn't "cancel" them out because you are better. Ultimately I know that if I get evicted or something crazy, they'll call me over because they are just like that. Now if they are degrading you for wanting to do different things or not "cheering you on," that's a different story. I know someone who has millions of dollars and is on self-improvement non-stop, but he frequently hangs out and flies out his old high school friends that just have 9-5s, smoke weed, and party. Lazy slobs, as you would call it. But what's stopping you from sharing a laugh with them? There's a diversity of people that you can be friends with, not everyone has to be like you. That'd just be boring, let loose! You can always learn something from different kinds of people and life doesn't have to be a constant "networking" in order to benefit yourself. That's a stupid way of looking at it.. I've had the best connections and conversations with like foreign taxi drivers that can barley speak English and are 25 years older than me.

@JoshyDimes 11 ай бұрын
@@rrrmoney-f6i I wasn’t necessarily trying to say I’m superior to these people. But it’s just as if that friend group has completely lost their drive to go out and live. Like they’d rather just stay inside and be chronically online instead of doing things in real life. They’ve become more self centered and individualized. And I think that’s a common theme with a lot of dudes my age. It’s a lack of masculinity. There’s no brotherhood, it’s just crabs in a bucket. Yes, I’ve gone down more of a self-improvement path and I do get looked at weird for it, whatever, doesn’t bother me. I’m not saying these friends have to be on “self-improvement” or live just like me in order to be my friends. It’s just that they never want to do anything besides stay inside and play video games or whatever the hell. There’s no fun, it’s just the same stuff over and over. Nothing new or invigorating. Just useless time wasting and negativity. When I say I have nothing in common with them anymore I mean that the lifestyles are just no longer compatible. It gets to a point where there’s just no point in hanging out with certain people anymore. And once you distance yourself, you realize it doesn’t really impact them anyways. New friends are tough to find, especially after high-school, although it doesn’t stop me from trying. Regardless, thank you for that comment, that did make me think more deeply on it.
