Today we have NPC's vs trees! RIP Shane... just what I've always wanted! Turns out you can plant trees all over town so that the NPCs have to deal with them. Any more fun ideas out there let me know!! Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always!

You managed to cause the NPC mapping to redirect the NPC's path only to have it find no path and glich out. The reason why Shane walked on water was because the mapping glitched out but didn't tell the game that the npc couldn't reach its destination and caused the game to continue on due to it being unable to go against its code. The game still gliched out because of the mapping shut down, the only way to fix Shane is to walk out of town and back again to update that tile set.

Take the making people vanish to the extreme. So you made Shane and the girl vanish, but what about Penny and the other kid? can you get the mayor to vanish? He after all does try to visit clint. If these guys vanish for more than a day, what happens if you vanish the mayor and then go to a festival that requires you to talk to the mayor to get things started?

It's more like a proto brain. She can "see" and "hear", we know that because she "responds" to people talking to her. Her responses are MOSTLY appropriate to the situation. Now we know that she can avoid obstacles, instead of just bashing through them. I do not know what level of awareness that takes, nearly all animals can do it. It would take more experiments to know where to place her on that scale. Trashpam needs to be monitored, it is not yet know if it is a danger to the world.

I looked at the maps, and it should be EASY to eradicate the Vampire (along with Glasses, bad Step-Father, and Robin) by planting trees around the entrance to their house. In theory, this should also mean you could make Lewis run off into the void if he decides to visit Robin to collect taxes. I NEEEEED to see more of this glitch you've discovered. Do they come back the next day? What other constraints are there? Can you trap people in mazes that completely screw up their schedule and trap them outside for insane periods of time? This is SUPER important knowledge!!! Edit: And if it does "kill" NPCs, how many CAN you kill? Clearly you can get rid of any that need to go to the other side of the river (anyone who goes to Joja Mart, Clint's, or the Library), but how many total is that? Penny and the kids for school, Sam and Shane for work, Pam and Jodi shop at Joja, Elliot reads, and Clint visits the bar/Lewis visits Clint...but who else?

I love how they just pause and discuss if they should or not activate their super powers, they probably knew they wouldn’t be able to turn anymore and would eventually vanish at the end of the map but did it anyway :)

You can also grow trees in abnormal spots by hoeing the wiggly worms in the winter time and planting a seed in the open spot. The seeds won't start until spring, but they'll stay there all winter. So it's just the randomness of where those worms pop up all winter.

You should try following them to see where they go by using the minecart to get past the trees. You could also follow other npc's that are blocked from their usual routine including Jas, Vincent, and Penny going to the museum, lots of npc's shop at the Joja Mart, Haley and Alex in the summer

The NPCs use a pathfinding algorithm to avoid stuff. As long as SOME route exists, you can't block them from going where they want to go.
