NPCC Annual Parade 2024

The NPCC Annual Parade (NPAP) was held on 27 April 2024 at the Home Team Academy (HTA) in commemoration of our Blue Sapphire Anniversary. The Reviewing Officer at the parade was Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower.
NPAP serves as a remarkable tribute to the invaluable contributions by our NPCC youth and celebrates the achievements of its units. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the relentless efforts of its members and nurture their sense of loyalty to the Corps. The theme for this year’s parade, “Forging Bonds, Pursuing Dreams - Celebrating 65 Years of Success”, focuses on honouring NPCC’s rich history, reflecting on the Corps’ success, and envisioning how NPCC can continue being a fulfilling and enriching Co-Curricular Activity for our students.
617 NPCC cadets from all 124 School Units were involved in various participating groups of NPAP 2024, comprising the Guard of Honour Contingent, School Flag Party, Supporting Contingent and Precision Drill Squad. They were joined by 73 members of our very own NPCC Band from Yishun Town Secondary School and supported by 228 NPCC Teacher Officers and Volunteers in the Parade and Ceremonies as well as the Working Committees. Special thanks to the members of the Singapore Red Cross Youth for rendering first aid assistance during the event.
The Parade Commander for NPAP 2024 was H/Insp (NPCC) Muhamad Diniy Fitri Bin Mohamad Zuraimi from Boon Lay Secondary School. This year’s NPAP also saw the inauguration of the Parade Second-in-Command position, which was held by SCI (NPCC) Lim Rui Siang Darren from Dunearn Secondary School.
Throughout the 6 training sessions spanning 2 months, our NPAP participants displayed the 21st Century Competencies Core Values of Resilience, Care and Harmony, as well as forged close friendships among each other. During their NPAP journey, they were also treated to two engagement sessions with the Home Team Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Command and the Special Operations Command, with the latter comprising a spectacular demonstration of the capabilities of the K-9 Unit.
NPCC HQ is deeply grateful for having a wide pool of passionate volunteers and supportive Teacher Officers, who are keen to contribute to our cadets’ holistic development. Our 65 years of success thus far can be attributed to the combined efforts and strong partnership between various stakeholders comprising the school leaders, teachers, volunteers, and family members of our cadets. Finally, we would also like to recognise our cadets, who are the backbone of the Corps’ success today, for living up to the NPCC Core Values of Resilience, Integrity, Service and Excellence.
