What I like about these ai battles is that anything goes. Even if you start a new battle with the same exact setup the result isn't. Sometimes it goes ones sided in favor of the UNSC or the Covenant, others it becomes a close call, or even on rare occasions a tie. And that's not even counting the hilarity you'd see in between. Also this moment, 4:00 , is just so cool.

With modding tools being official now (I have no idea how viable this actually is). I would love if someone could give Halo 3's Elites an updated AI package that makes them like their CE, 2, or even Reach counterparts. The AI package they carry in 3 is quite possibly the worst we have seen them at. With an updated AI package it would be lovely to see them thrown into the fray like these videos showing the Elites to finally be competent allies or dangerous foes.

The firefight map from C.E. anniversary had ODST’s that would spawn in after every set, the pelican that drops them off even delivers a warthog, kinda sucks it’s the only map that included this feature though :/

This map is a mod on Nexus that is actually quite simple in terms of pathfinding along with non respawning enemies. NPC, there's recently been a number of uploads to Nexus that do AI battles much more smoothly and efficiently. I'd recommend giving those a look as it's quite... mesmerizing.

Halo 3 marines are definitive marines, however they need the Mexican (or Latin if saying Mexican makes you feel uncomfortable) marine like in Halo 2 and then it’s objective. Just feel like the roster isn’t complete without him.

You ever hear of a game called Call to arms? Or the men of war assault squad 2 series. Im a fan of ai battles and see you are too so you should check them out. Another game worth checking out for ai battles is Starwars Jedi Academy. Having Kyle katarn or Luke Skywalker fight one of the sith masters is pretty epic and dynamic each time

Hey thanks for the suggestions, yes I've seen some nice battle videos with call to arms and men of war assault squad 2. Also I've made a Jedi Academy video once but I want to go back to it and make new videos because it had so much NPC variety, jedi, sith and many more characters as you mentioned, it has some great mods and modding community is still active.

Man this is awesome. Keep up the good work of making me see a childhood wish coming true. Interesting enough, one of the radios in Reach Firefight and Multiplayer maps mention this map. It mentioned Aegis Fate, the frigate in Sandtrap. So, in a way, this battle is canon.

Seems like as long as the Marines can keep their MANPADS (missile pods and Laser) alive, and can get air superiority, they win every time. When they lose, it's because they lose the MANPADS, which leads to losing the hornets and the Spirits can drop their grunts to mop up infantry.
