Doc, I am not worthy of correcting you by any stretch of the imagination however I checked back in my notes from 2 or 3 different sources whom I trust that says Auxins are in the nearest growth tips of leaves and cytokinins are found in the newest growth tips of the roots. It caught my attention because I remember it as a visualization of a slice of bread view of the long word, cytokinin, written as the roots and Auxin written from top down as a redwood tree (the A being the canopy and the uxin in smaller letters representing the long trunk to the ground). So as you said 'hormones' my brain brought up the imagination and all of a sudden the visualization broke down like a playing movie reel lit on fire hahaha. Everything else you said before this point is spot on from what I've learned and given me a better view of some things I only had a vague idea of. I appreciate the video and can't wait to see what else you've got. I absolutely love biology! microbiology, soil biology, and plant biology. I figured if I could master that I could extrapolate the data to humans while already knowing how to grow/raise high quality food/animals. So far you are making it to my list of people i share when I get a chance to PREEECH!! Haha thank you again, I try to make this my entertainment instead of the culture's dictations. The information and people talking about this is few and far between, although I've got around 20 names of rockstars in the plant/microbe/soil/animal/regenerative/holistic section of biology.

There are a few people I choose not to share information with just because I know its going in 1 ear and out the other. Mr. Smith, I've been trying to understand the fundamentals of how plants take up nutrients so I can put together a nutrient regiment for my indoor garden instead of being sold pricy pre-mixed nutrient solutions that claim to be the best at everything! I have spent countless hours on youtube, and the web trying to understand how it all works. You have not only put together a phenomenal presentation, but you have given me so much information about the way plants take up nutrients. I cant thank you enough for your research, and furthermore the sharing of that information. YOU ROCK!!

I was searching a lot and I haven't been able to find a single scientific study that backs up what Harley is saying about Glycine/Glutamic Acid and Calcium. Most of the studies I've seen are foliar applications with some positive effects (nothing involving Ca though). Only a very few of them involve root application and some of those show even negative effects considering Glycine as far as only in 30+ppm concentrations Stuff like inhibition of growth. NOTHING ABOUT CALCIUM UPTAKE ANYWHERE. Have you ever heard the phrase extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence? I've seen none so far which is an issue because Harley is keep talking about million times faster Ca uptake lol.

You are the BEST Harley! You are one of the greats on this planet that I would hope to meet one day. Your humbleness is admirable. You have done 20+ years of research (plus 5 hard years learning to crack the bio-stimulant secret), and in one month, I can learn decades of knowledge and have harvest yields almost the same as a professional grower like you. I feel like it's cheating and I'm not paying the years of "dues" it should take to produce the yields that I am getting all because of the knowledge you have given me/us. Thank you my friend....and it's amazing to have people like you which stay so humble in a world of arrogance.

I foliar twice a week with kelp and amino acids my plants love it. Then I foliar once a week with bloom kaos which helps pull up calcium and phos. I’ve noticed if I fall off on my amino foliar that my plant leaves don’t want to stand up all the way and it almost looks like it’s over watered but I micro feed my plants so I know that’s not the case. It’s quite interesting to see

This was an awesome video lecture, thank you. The sharing of information is crucial to allowing people to understand more, which only cascades or trickles into that next level of understanding, that’s communal thinking at its best. Just like how the enzymes are activated to help the roots of the plant that they’re living with, so too are ideas, understandings, new ways to think, etc… This is something that needs to remain as an integral part of being in the food producing, or the medicinal herb farmer’s community. Probably the most important lesson that I’ve learned from having a share to all mentality, is that not everyone wants to learn about what you’re doing. We’re all doing it with our inner research scientist, at our own pace. That’s one of the reasons why they say, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink it.” The more I interact with people, the more I allow them to inform me of their knowledge base when it comes to horticulture. Then we can begin to communicate, hopefully, on a basis that’s more understanding.. As I learn more from listening to Harley, I was steered towards a supplement company called Nectar for the Gods, or NFTG. Herculean Harvest, Aphrodite’s Palate, Zeus Juice, and one more containing Calcium, or is it carbon…? I know they have one more that I bought because of the carbon. Carbon dioxide is great in the air for the plants but, it’s also beneficial in the root zone. All of the “fertilizers,” in this lineup are chelated, or plant available forms so, the calcium that’s available in the one feed, will be made available with the Zeus Juice, it’s the one containing the humic acid kelp mixture .. I believe there’s also two sugars in this one, glucose and sucrose, I believe. I’m curious to see how this is going to impact the overall health of the plant. Good stuff!!! The more you know!

I’ve been involved in the ag business for nearly 20 years. One product I have access to contains Humic and Fulvic acids and Kelp extracts. It is a 0-0-0 nutritional product only. It has the following components as percentages. 1.5% Mg, 3.5% Fe, 0.75 % Mn, 0.75% Zn, 0.05% Cu, 0.1% B, 0.001% Mo and 4.2% S. Humic Acid is 0.15% and the Fulvic is as well 0.15%. I have another product from the same source that is pure cold processed Kelp extract. For amino acids I have another product that is a 3-1-2 am sulfate, K sulfate, phosphoric acid and protein hydrolysate. Targeted as a root feed with specific L-amino acids. I haven’t selected a Ca source yet, but have access to a great selection. Question One- Do these seem to be acceptable for container grown plants? I have not done any growing for nearly 30 years. I have learned much since then. I hope to do well. Question Two- These items are intended for large scale operations, not micro indoor gardens. The rates are given in per one thousand square feet or per acre. I can do the math to find out how many grams, grains, teaspoons, etc per square foot, but is this acceptable? Am I missing something that would result in over/ under feeding? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What a legend this guy is. Thanks Harley and NPK! I very curious to know: what is the best way to deliver biostimulants? Do you simply add to a nutrient solution, or is it something you would add on their own? If you were to give biostim day 1 and then feed day 2, would that act as a primer and prep the plant to uptake the nutrients, or would the biostimulants need to be used closer to the feeding time?
