Thanks Nick for your very informative videos, I purchased an AMG line E200 70 plate in September and am very pleased with it..I'm of the opinion that I prefer mine to the 21 model as the controls on the steering wheel are raised, my main concern being the distraction from driving whilst operating such and anything flat to the touch is going to be harder to discern..p.s that tip re the double tap to ensure speed restriction to the zone one is in sure helps me..cheers

Brilliant again, Nick. Great comparison. I really do want to buy the new one. I like all the updates it got, especially with MBUX. Just wonderful. I can go on forever on why I love it. In terms of updates, they essentially set it up to now be on par with its SUV siblings - the GLE and GLE Coupé that were refreshed for 2020. It is updated to the level of those cars. Awesome, of course. I am excited for your video on the new S-Class. Prepare yourself, lol. You are going to be blown away. I was very blown away experiencing it. @npoleary3 жыл бұрын
Hey megaman 123, Thanks for the comment! :) Well the issue was as it’s a facelift, it’s just that. It’s not a new model so the overall dimensions pretty much remain the same which also include the interior. Apart from the steering wheel and the touchpad, virtually every other button is in exactly the same place oh I can’t forget the upgraded multimedia system too. Asides from those things above, new lights, body panels, the rest including the engines will be the same. Hope that helps!

The interior is much improved from a looks perspective compared to a W212 E Class even though the quality feels a step down especially in models with the silly glossy black centre console. The problem with this generation E Class is that it's now harder to find 6 cylinder models like there used to be because it's too expensive. There isn't even a V8 E500 anymore. I have a W212 V6 diesel which one is still able to get used for great prices. Now you can't even find used W213 6 cylinder E Classes and the engine is what made a Mercedes a Mercedes. Everything you see is either 4 cylinder petrol or diesel and well, now there is no longer a reason to buy a premium badged car anymore.
@npoleary3 жыл бұрын
Hey SDav21, I know the larger engines are really smooth but you’ll be surprised at the what they come up with with some of the new ones! With pressure from emission regulations, manufacturers have to make engines smaller and eventually removing them completely by 2030 (for new cars that is)
@SuperKoreanzombie3 жыл бұрын
Nick I noticed on some of the pre face lift E class would come with the widescreen cockpit (digital dash) whereas generally most come standard with the analogue cockpit pre-face lift. How about for the c class face lift, if I’m not mistaken some still come as analogue whereas some are digital dash? Cheers
@npoleary3 жыл бұрын
Hey Masato, The E-Class had an option called “Widescreen Cockpit) which gave you the full windscreen dashboard. Included with some models but most of the time it was an option you had to choose. On the C-Class you can also opt for digital instrument cluster too, this is normally found on the premium package.

@npoleary3 жыл бұрын
Hey Rishi, Each model in Mercedes-Benz has a life cycle of typically 6-7 years (a lot longer than smartphones which is usually every year). Within those 6-7 years, you’ll usually have a facelift which the E-Class has just had. So for a redesign of the interior, we’ll have to wait about 3-4 years...Might be similar to the new S-Class & C-Class or....could be something completely different! Either way, I’m sure it’ll look awesome!

Hi Nick, from past experience, when a manufacturer gives a ( slight facelift ) to an existing model it usually denotes that they are due to upgrade/redesign the model shape completely!!!! very very soon. Reg`s Steve.
@npoleary4 жыл бұрын
Sort of, it’ll come soon but you’ll have to wait a while yet! I can give you a tip to look out for! 🤓 So phone manufacturers typically release a new model each year. However with cars, due their complexity and factory production, a yearly upgrade cycle is not feasible. So models in Mercedes-Benz usually last about 6-8 years before being upgraded with a facelift halfway in the middle. The last model change on the E-Class was 2016, so facelift 4 years later, my prediction it’ll be another 3 years at least before anything changes again. Of course behind closed doors they’ve probably already built the next one 🤓

Hi Rohansinghh, Mercedes-Benz like all manufacturers keep their lips sealed with new models until last minute 🤐 But...unlike smartphones which get upgraded every year, car’s typically (due to their complexity) change every 6-7 years with a facelift halfway through. The C-Class changed shape in 2014, facelift was 2018 so technically speaking 2021 or 2022? I would have thought you’d hear at least something in 2021 though to be honest.

@@npoleary Okay thanks anyways mate i'm really waiting for that car
@ClaireYunFarronXIII3 жыл бұрын
The new C-Class will be coming this year as a 2022 model. Remember, Mercedes-Benz brands their cars as a model of the following year to when they unveiled. This new E-Class and the new S-Class unveiled in 2020, but are branded as 2021 models. One of the ways you can tell a new Mercedes-Benz is close to unveiling is by looking at how camouflaged it is in some of the prototypes on the road that the engineers are using. If it is completely camouflaged (including the taillights) that means it is quite far. If it is less camouflaged (and showing a bit of the taillights), that means it is closer to unveiling. There have been C-Class prototypes spotted recently that are barely covered. Therefore, it is quite close to being unveiled, and it will be going on sale a few months later.
