In my eyes just as indicative of seeking approval. Many artist show up different, and "let the song speek", so I think Swift seem weird. But I like that she is herself 100%

@@sanoj92 I think it's also because swift is a talker. Most artist I know are more introverted in nature so would prefer to just sing the song then have to talk in a room . But swift seems to like talking and explaining the song so people get it.

I feel so embarrassed. I've never gone to a concert of her even though I love her personality and music so much. I used to have friends who teased me about liking her but I don't care. Why do men and boys have to dislike artists like Taylor? People are always surprised when they find out that I am listening to Taylor. Tbh, she is more of a friend to me than many people who I used to be friend with.

This is brilliant. A male at 61, I never really checked out Taylor Swift. But when she played two gigs in Stockholm, I met her fans, and everything changed. Their love, their friendliness-it was infectious. I was genuinely moved by the community she has built. Now, I’m happy she’s in this world, touching young people the way she does. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.

It’s hard to imagine that a singer who performs in stadium tours can be so humble and never forgets where she comes from. She’s down to earth, and her songs still sound good without all the pop instruments and effects. Along with Adele, they are one of the very few artists that can achieve that. Taylor should really make an acoustic album Edit: I’ve been a swiftie for so long I know that she had acoustic albums, I meant that she should make an acoustic album for her songs in her pop era (deluxe versions are not enough! Though I bought almost all of them)

I just now ran across this Tiny Desk concert and, while I am fairly new to Taylor Swift, I think I understand her popularity......she is authentic. Me being 74 yrs. old, it is nice to find new things. Especially finding quality that reminds me of old things. As she describes the way she writes, her love of break-up songs, her storytelling, acquiring fame and fortune while remaining true to herself, it all reminds me of my generation's 'Taylor Swift'. For me that person, that singer/songwriter, is Mr. Phil Collins. I sincerely hope Ms. Swift will find that comparison a compliment. I do.

I’ve heard Taylor Swift songs for years. It wasn’t until Folklore that I truly LISTENED vs. just hearing. I became a Swiftie overnight and it’s been such a pleasure to listen to her body of work with a newfound awe and appreciation. I purchased the Red album but never had listened to All Too Well. Same with not hearing New Years Day on Lover. Taylor Swift has literally saved my mental health during this pandemic. This performance was a blessing. As a dad of 2 huge Swifties, I know her music (& lyrical stories) well and thank God for her following her path in life to share this music and provide an example of chasing your passion with true courage. I love "All Too Well" and the dad in me particularly loves to pair it with "Begin Again" (also from Red) - so hopeful to follow up the truth of the hurt with the girl who has found her old self again and heads back out to try again. If you enjoy these performances, give a listen to the clips from her Grammy Museum show - blown away every time!

the fact that her voice is clearly struggling (probably just fatigue, which is totally normal for anyone singing as much as she does) and she worked WITH that reality by finding clever and smooth option downs (especially in Lover) is a testament to 1) how connected she is to the musicality of her songs, 2) her prowess as a musician and how well she's honed her skills, 3) her dedication to her fans and giving the best performance possible

not a lot of artist are as comfortable as she is, she talks probablty the most from all these NPR videos. almost every one else feels forced or uncomfortable (that's okay tho) BUT Swift seems like she's in a very healthy state, mentally wise, especially after watching her documentary. At the end of the day all of these celebrities are still people- still human, feel sad, depressed, etc. it's important to remember that, these celebs go through the most, i 100% respect this lady right here

Death By a Thousand Cuts is the most underrated song of Lover's album. The song deserves to be a single and win a spectacular video. Watching this for the first time after the eras tour concert, WOW I actually got to see her live twice with her singing songs from every era. I'm getting emotional because I became a Swiftie after listening/watching all too well 10 min version in early 2021, it got me to sit down and listen to every album and I realised that she's a LYRICISTS and I'm a sucker for good lyrics + that her songs aren't just the classics from which I used to listen to when it came on the radio. I'm so happy i decided to give her music a chance and look past the reputation and just see her and her craft. I'm in such awe of her.
