I think that the pianist needs a whole bunch of compliments. Listening to him gives this exellent concert another dimension. He gives this R&B a certain jazz feeling that isn´t wrong at all! So many of these tiny desk concerts are so good that it makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the recording industry. These artists sound better, sometimes much better, when they play live than they do on their official releases. This group is particularly amazing, but the same thing happens over and over with any number of artists. I wonder if this could be the future of music releases. Forget the darn studio and all that production, just let the artists play. There are some exceptions, of course, where a group or a producer has a real talent for using a studio, but on average these concerts make me think the recording studios do more harm than good.
@mindapothecary5 жыл бұрын
Very true...very embarrassing for the studio where they record their albums. Maybe they shd record their albums at the NPR desk.

This band you heard just now has great commercial success. Their music transfer well in the studio to their recorded music. Sometimes its the studio and sometimes its the musicians who don't do well in studio settings. H.E.R will be around for a long time they're loved universal.

Ok can we just appreciate how good 'Focus' is here. At 16:17 when they settle into that new Groove is absolute heaven. Do you ever get emotional because of how good someone is. Not because the song is sad or happy but because of how good the musicians are. I do ALL the time. I think it's gratitude. @@watchrami I was looking for this comment, I thought I was the only one who felt this way.. And I'm french so I thought maybe I didn't get it all. And at the end, when Malik and Ajanee (sorry if I spell it bad) keep singing and she (HER) says "we don't have all day", Malik says "aw" like there is a little discomfort maybe because he was the one who introduced the band instead of her.. Well, maybe I go too far in the interpretation (cause I watched it too many times lol).
