How does a larger eigenvalue of the auto-correlation matrix indicate the presence of an edge? Are the eigenvectors orthogonal to the plane in this case? Maybe I'm thinking about it wrong? Can you provide an intuition here? Thank you.

How does finding the maximum Harris cornerness measure in both images in 9:35 help in getting a scale invariant Harris corner detector, we need to compare the same corner in both the images, how can we achieve that if we don't know the corners before hand in both the images?
