luv it! Filipino art of Kali and the concept of de-fanging the snake with improvised weapons! Rolled up magazines work well as I was taught. They may not be a kill shot but definitely a stun shot to the ol' noggin or to impede the hand with a blade in it from an attacker to buy you some time to get to another weapon system or escape a situation. I think this is my favorite episode so far! Good stuff and Fun to watch. I believe Jeff Imada was the fight scene choreographer for the Bourne Identity movies. He studied under Dan Inosanto and came up through the ranks so to speak with my teacher Chris Kent and the others such as of Paul Vunak, and Frank Cucci, Tim Tacket etc..

Great episode. Where I train we dont do much realistic training like this. I wish we did. We train in TKD , MMA.

hey shippy, it seems we have forgotton about the fact that a belt is a wepon. Quiet, adds an easy 8 feet between you and your issue and when used correctly can kill.

The issue with the Bourne triligy is the freaking "shaky cam". Its actually a tec to hide bad fighting footage. Envolves lots of editing trying to make it look good..

Question about the killer elite scene - what stops the attacker from killing deNiro witha knife, when he is taking of his jacket? He can clearly see, that deniro is preparing to counter his knife. A knife should be a big advantage in a hand-to-hand fight. So - why does he wait, why give him time?

He didn't expect to be attacked and if you know who you are attacking that counter attack can throw you off your game

Sorry, I don't byt that. You go kill someone with a knife and not expect that someone to fight back? Why would the victim wait for the assailant to kill her? And in this movie - the knife guy has no idea what the othere one is doing. He may be as well looking to grab his own knife, a gun, or run away, or something. Coat around an arm against a knife is ok, better that, than nothing. I'm just not buying the "let me wait and see" hollywood BS. If you want to kill someone, kill him, not wait around until he arms himself. It's not a medieval sword duel.

Zet Żet I agree with you and if you see videos of real knife attack, it's usually fast prison shanking motion which doesn't give u much time to take off your jacket. Taking off something like that under pressure and adrenalin could be even harder.

I know it is Hollywood, but if was me movie or real life i would get something to use as weapon or carry a weapon. I would like to see a movie were do similar scene like the DeNiro movie, were the other person sneaks and just shoot or stabs the attacker.
