George Chapogas loads of great players in most styles use pedals. John Scofield and Mike stern in the jazz world. Heaps of country players (Brent mason), blues (josh Smith), soul, etc, etc and they sound great. it’s not just rock guys. I get it, you don’t like pedals. Each to their own, I reckon. Pedals are just tools like anything else.

@@NickGranville People can do anything they want, but when demoing an instrument you want to sell, distortion, excess reverb, chorus, delay etc all hide what the guitar actually sounds like. Any good guitarist that knows how the damn knobs work should be able to demo without the added crapola helping the listener know the most about what is being sold. I stand with Carlos and not the noisemakers.,

George Chapogas well you have to take into consideration about the certain genres of music that people like to play. they demo the guitar with distortion and other effects to show how it would sound. to see if the guitar is good for rock, blues, jazz, etc. by the way, lemmo also demos the guitar with clean tone as well.
