I would finish maybe 2nd...from Last Place only because the last place finisher got sick on Day 1 and had to go home. That seems like so much fun, learning and making people humble to a new level. Great run down of the event, Ivan.

I did my first match this year as a regular shooter in open heavy. I finished like 4th from last. Still had a blast and definitely learned a lot.

I've been treating my local monthly prs-ish matches as lessons. It's the only circumstance I have where I can shoot steel in funky positions under time pressure between 300m and 900m. Maybe next year I'll do the Montana match that went down 2 weekends ago.

Can you use semiautomatic ar10?

Yes, but gas guns gonna be heavier than the bolt guns. One advantage is just moving to safety with selector instead of bolt open. One negative is how much I jammed with a suppressor and how filthy. Did it twice, headed to bolt gun for next time.
