I knew the Panthers would eliminate the Premiers. In other comment sections on other NRL highlights videos, people were assuming that Melbourne were going to be in the GF, even before this match was played. It doesn't matter who is victorious next weekend, the premiership will return to Sydney. As a Warriors supporter. I hope that one day, it will come to Auckland.

I don't think anyone expected the panthers to 'eliminate' the storm. Obviously thought there would be more of a competition, but there wasn't any. Penrith played the better game and storm made too many errors from the start of this game.

Even though I’m a storm fan, Storm were their own worst enemies. Panthers gave them a taste of their own medicine they played unreal & I always thought Storm shot themselves in the foot by changing the backline (even though I love Paps) half the reason they went on that epic win streak was cause of Nico Hynes, Paps had a few good moments but he still never looked back at 💯 percent.

I got up at 6:30AM to watch this game. This win for me is very satisfying on so many levels. As a proud Storm ⛈ fan since 2006, We choke big time & we play so terrible that’s it’s seems that the pressure get to us, And we got no excuses at all like we got a week off, we was at full strength today & we had our chances too but we are not good enough to make those chances count today sadly 😞, The Roosters 🐓 is a better club then us when it comes to finals time over the past 10 years because they managed to go back to back in 2018-2019 where’s us(Storm) can’t, And this is a disappointing loss but good 👍🏽 game to the Panthers & to their loyal fans youse guys was the better team on the day, And I am backing the Panthers to win the GF but may the best team win in fair & square circumstances, Win or lose Go the Storm ⛈ always.

I think it means that they are one of the best nrl teams ever. It’s not all about premierships, it has been a great season for the storm yet again. The fact that Storm getting knocked out in the semis is a “win” for so many people, whereas other teams like Manly get praised for barely scraping into the top 4 just goes to show that everyone respects the storm and the consistency they show every year

I only watched the 2nd half. An entertaining half. But some of those calls in Storm’s favour were really dumb. The ref practically gave them another chance to win the game in the final minute via unfairly penalising a player for not clearing away but Storm fumbled it. My brother pointed out, most penalty decisions that benefit Storm on average do not get sent up to the box as much. It was an observation we made watching this match. I’m also aware Sutton has a potential conflict of interest with Storm as well.

No doubt there’s been some interesting refereeing going on in these semi finals games. Penrith were getting away with a lot of messing around and holding on and the odd elbow. The fact there were so few penalties just goes to show that the rule book goes out the window for finals games as usual.
