If your not a big time Matty Bowen fan then your not a footy fan. A fullback/halfback hybrid who use to toy and laugh at the opposition. I dont know why Bowen stayed at fullback his whole career. JT#7 Bowen#6

Nuh mate. As good as he was with the ball, he was no 5/8. Especially in the top grade. He was a finisher and one of the best at it. Playing him at fullback was his best position. Touching the ball constantly and popping up anywhere on the field. He complimented JT better at FB. I'd say probably a JTedesco type for today's comparisons.

@@DrayDrayn Bowen would've made a great #7 or #6, his ability to read the game is probably the best I seen, it was just unfortunate that he played in an era where the fullback position surpassed the halfback position as the most dominant position in the game. That's why he gets overshadowed
