Need more of these types of videos, showing the kids how to do these properly, especially tackling so they don't get innthe wrong position and get themselves hurt.. love to see goal kicking next.

you cant make a textbook tackle in every attempt, because of the ball runner, they could move in a way where your head could get hit with their knee or something could be put in an awkward position

All current starting 6,7,9's should be made to do an assessment of this to learn to pass both directions. So many can pass Right to Left (not half as good as that to be honest though) as it's their dominant side usually, but pass to the right side and they all developed a harbour pass or end over end. Some even go to the effort of turning their back to the defense so they can pass in reverse to suit there strong side. And dont get me started on the ground pass from dummy half in either direction. It ends up being caught above the players heads.

This is more like a floater pass. You should put the outside hand near the bottom of the ball and push through when you pass. You get much more power and accuracy that way. All blacks do this.

So, who has the best spiral pass of all time?
@JS-us8mg4 жыл бұрын
A lot of union players have amazing passes due to the small amount of room to move between attack and defence... joost from the springboks was my favourite to watch... r.i.p

This is not how to spiral pass a rugby ball in a game. When you're on the run you should pass off the opposite foot to what he's demonstrating. Also not showing the proper way to follow through to the target, then again I have never seen league players properly throw perfectly accurate spiral passes on the run

That’s easy when your stationary I wanna see the Technique at a walking pace then at speed
@frazierginn76834 жыл бұрын
It’s a technique none the less but this is nowhere near a good one. If you want to get a good idea of what great spiral passing techniques look like, just watch any game of professional rugby union. The ball moving skills in union compared to league are miles ahead. Why do I say this? It’s because in union there are contested rucks where possibly 4-5 guys are fully committed from each team. This means that there are less players occupying the space. So the spacing between each player is far more significant in order to create overlaps. This is why ball skills in rugby union are far more superior, because players, especially backs, are forced to throw longer, quicker and more accurate passes.
@jacobmurphy4234 жыл бұрын
Shut up you haven't even played professional football I back johns way ahead then your opinion
@frazierginn76834 жыл бұрын
jacob Murphy you are a pleb clearly mate. My comment was not aimed at stating that I have a better passing technique that Andrew Johns. I said that rugby union players have better passing techniques then the one john’s shows in the video. You’re not a professional footballer either, but you are definitely a professional idiot.
