NS 22K Passes the Nickel Plate Road Signals at KM With Sister ES44AC Locomotives - Vermillion, Ohio

One Got Cut Over and Then There Were Two

Well, this is the last train to ever Pass the Safetran Signal that once stood at KM. Things have been moving forward very quickly at KM as there are now replacements at both signals and the Safetran has been replaced. These signals will probably be be torn down in less than a week at this rate. We can only hope that they are preserved but the future is grim. I can say I was fortunate to witness many trains pass through the Nickel Plate Road signals at KM over the pass 4 months. Hope you guys enjoy the video.

KM is still standing but we don't know for how long, I really recommend getting out there this week if you want to see the signals.

Thanks! They probably will but nothing's for sure at this point. I'm up here today and I was up there Monday and there was no mow crews on site.

@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 The Cleveland District's frequency is 161.250. Normally 149 comes before 316 now since it hasn't been working Sheffield due to the Coronavirus. I recommend getting to KM no later than 1PM to see 149. He has passed Lorain as early as 1 :10 PM lately because of this. 316 normally comes around 3 - 4:30 PM by KM. You can go to Lakewood after you see 316 in Vermilion and see 316 blow through Lakewoods 27 Railroad Crossings back to back, its insane. Hope this info helps.
