Many thanks to Al Rasch for building this awesome layout for me. It was designed to be an extension to an existing layout and depict the bridges, manufacturing and scenery I grew up with here in Western Pennsylvania. Now the other half of the layout needs a major upgrade to match the realistic details and beautiful trees and scenery Al created. I threw a number of new challenges at Al and he came through on all of them. For example, one of the things you don't see in the video is a hidden staging yard with train detectors that allows for constantly changing of engines and rolling stock. Also many thanks to Al's son Joe who put the really great video together. Al also unselfishly shared some of his techniques and the products he used so that I can make the two parts of the layout look similar. I greatly appreciate that Al, thanks again and keep those great layouts and videos coming. John

What an amazing railroad! You put a lot into a small area yet it does not look overcrowded!! Kudos!!!

@@pedsp8561 Hi Peds P, I have specialized in it over the years and found a way to refine the small analog models from my considerable collection in terms of driving technology and optics! Not an easy undertaking, but converting to digital was no longer an issue for cost reason after carefull consideration! And what can I say: "It can actually be done with a lot of skill"! I just love to be able to drive and control the small trains with analogue technology delicious now! The best: "It doesn´t really matter what kind of engine the models are equipped with"! My personal big passion are the steamlocomotive refinements by, from my self, to nearly 100% handcrafted pieces. But now: "Enough of philosophizing"! :-) Have a nice day, stay safe and healthy, greetings, Olli
