Most of his celebrity friends outside EXO are actors that have worked with him. They say he’s really talented and would hardly have NGs/Retakes during serious drama however during “100 days my prince”( it was one of highest rated tv drama ) filming. He ended up having more NGs because he couldn’t stop laughing. Everyone had so much fun, they had a great chemistry. It was mentioned before in a video I’ve watched about his acting gigs that he usually chooses a project that has something he’d never done before. During “Swing Kids”, he needed to train for tap dancing and learns the North Korean dialect. “Along with the Gods” he was a soldier. “100 Days my prince” he needed to train sword fighting, archery and horse riding”. With “Annoying Brother” - being blind and train for Judo. , Etc...He wanted to challenge himself with something new.

So if you make a mistake they call it an NG. it's a common term in the Korean entertainment industry. so what they were saying was that during that scene where D.O.'s character was suffering from MS he did it in one take without any mistakes and the director used the first take.

Because you are so emotionally invested just from seeing clips of D.O.'s acting roles, it shows just how good of an actor he really is and why he has won so many awards for his acting. D.O. is one of the top actors in Korea and because of a role in an upcoming sequel to one of his movies, he enlisted in the military early to get it out of the way, so that he would be free to star in the project. It says something about D.O. as an actor, that the director was willing to wait 18 months to start shooting the film just to give D.O. time to take care of his duty to his country so he would be available for filming later on without any interruptions. As an actor, if you want to be known as an actors actor and be given accolades for your work, you want to take roles in projects that have you evoking powerful emotions that really show off your acting chops. Although the light-hearted, fun stuff is great, its not what most people really pay attention to and it usually doesn't win awards. Its those powerful, full-depth roles with lots of complexities that makes people really pay attention to you as an actor and makes you a household name that directors and production companies remember and its what gets them to seek you out and write roles specifically with you in mind, etc. Just think, D.O. did all that in only the past 4 years, while also participating in all of EXO's activities. And both his music and acting careers have only become more and more magnificent with each new project. He is now one of the best in both fields. That just goes to show you how talented he really is.

IT'S OKAY THAT'S LOVE drama - they didn't want to take him for this one brcausr the image of idol - actors were bad. (till than d.o only was at web dramas or movies, that was his first TV series. but the main actor asked them to give him a chance and d,o (or as he as to call him as an actor: do kyungsoo) was a sucsses, and he shocked everyone, (he also made the accident scenc byhimself!) since than, and mainly after ALONG WITH GODS (that he had asmall role there but everyone could'v remember only him) he began to be on of the buggest and loved actors. he was mentioned a the actor that are everyone has the most expectation from him for 2019... he won lots of individual awards as an actor from popularity to best new actor and more...

thSWING KIDS is a realy huge movie, it was screened in more than 40 countries also he had to learn north korean accent for this for 6 month and he also lernt TAP DANCE for that! he was so good that the proffessional dancers that were supposed to replaced him at the close up shots of the complicated moves had no job because they suddenly saw that he is doing everything byhimself

Love him. He’s so well-rounded and so grounded too. He isn’t interested in popularity at all, it’s just that his dream of singing, and now acting, makes him a public figure. Hey guys. I really appreciate watching your videos and usually pausing and laughing between reactions really helps making your videos more enjoyable but when it comes to acting which is very different from random reality tv shows or music perf. pausing and being lowkey distracted during the reaction can really be offputing and break the pace of a scene. D.O's performance in hello monster is one of if not my personal favorite psychopath acting in any kdrama so i was honestly frustrated seeing you so distracted. It's totally fine since you do not really react to movies/dramas/acting that much but if you want to do more of these i think you should be aware that in these reactors are usually expected to be way more focused and involved in what's going on than what you might have been here. (It applies ESPECIALLY when it comes to clearly emotional or intense scenes). Don't take this personally tho i'm just trying to let you know so that you can atleast be aware of that for any future movie/drama/acting reaction. Also thank you very much for reacting to this compilation!

Funny story.... Me and my friend watched the trailer to My Annoying Brother and we were like " oh damn let's watch this and see if D.O is a good actor ". The question of "why cant you hurt others? " is quite an interesting question. Cause its only really modern society telling you its not allowed to hurt someone at random. But then again at certain times people ignore this standard when its convernient for them or when its far enough so they dont have to see it. For example how so many people still starve every day or are used to make cheap clothes. Or at war, where suddenly it is allowed to randomly shoot people. And in the past there would be very little consequences in a lot of cases, especially if it was a man vs a woman, people of different skincolors or if it was someone of high birth against "some lowly peasant". Or if it was because of your faith that you hurt someone. And thats only started to change in the last hundred years or so. It will be very interesting to see where we end up in the next hundred. Cause at the one hand we are changing society to be more respectful to each other, but the other hand whatever we dont have to see we treat even worse. You can see this very well with how er treat animals as well, so many people will do everything for their pets but they still eat meat from animals that have been mistreated their entire lives. In the past those animals would have had a decent life before they were killed, but because people dont see it anymore the animals can be treated worse and worse. So lets see how we end up in a hundred years with how we treat other humans close and not close to us
