The govt. says that this step is necessary to keep the retail people out of trading as they make losses. This is advertised as govt is very much careful about retailers, means people with less capital. My question is if govt wants to protect the poors, the why they do not ban alcoholic things to protect them. Why gutkha and other tobacco products are not banned? This stp seems only to profit big players by keeping the retailers away or compelling to go for option buying to benefit the moneyed people and institutions who short the options. What do you feel?

Instead of excluding Small Investors from Derivative Market, why not to reduce the lot size of various Indexes. Just like Gold has 4 categories to trade according to investors' appetite. 1 Kg., 100 grams, 8 grams and 1 gram. Likewise, all sizes of various indexes can be made into multiples of 100, 50, 25 and 5.
