Before Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, One Direction and BTS there was New Kids on the Block. They were big in the 80's, the same time as MJ. A lot of their dance moves were inspired by MJ.

You are right about them getting those "black girls". Danny dated Halle Berry. They wouldn't have made it without the support of they got at the legendary Apollo theater. The mostly black crowd went crazy for them, and soon they got airtime on the radio.
