The NSMBW tileset looks so clean, and I like how the regular forest is beach but the night is the actual forest. Nice idea for incorporating more themes! The textures also seem really good too, might even be 4K. Wasn’t expecting that level of quality but definitely aren’t complaining!

Yeah the NSMBU style just isn't... clean. And yes, it may be newer that NSMBW but, everybody has so many fond memories of this game. Me included.

NSMBU's Ground, Snow, and Athletic themes were downgrades of NSMBW. They were fine, just not as special. Wish this was SMM2

Suggestion: do you think it's possible to make the checkpoint (it looks legit amazing btw) have it's pole in the center of the tile again? Then the hitbox would be more correct plus it would be aligned correctly to the original game and look better I think, lemme know what you think! (Also little bug report: the checkpoint gets a bit shorter after the hit animation plays)

I figured out some ways to add the mountain, volcano, and outside Ghosthouse by replacing night themes. The desert at night could become the mountains. This would mean unstoppable wind but having the theme is still important. Nighttime snow becomes the volcano. I know, weird choice, but it’s the best one that doesn’t completely change gameplay. Of course everything is slippery and there’s no lava, but still this would work well. In fact fixing the lava problem could just be a texture change with spikes becoming the top of lava, and one block thick tiles could become the inner lava. And if possible, a music sound effect should be replaced for this theme to be the underground version, of course a semisolid would go along with it. The best one is definitely Night House becoming outdoor house. I don’t really see any problems with this one tbh. Edit: These could also be vertical subzones, in fact, that’s what could be best for the Underground Volcano or the mountains. Edit 2: The Autumn and Tower themes could be added too with the use of vertical subsections. Of course none of these have to happen, I’d still enjoy the mod regardless, but seeing at least the volcano and Outdoor House themes would be great. Amazing work and can’t wait to play it. Well once I figure out how to install mods of course.

The thing is, there's really no reason why the other New Super Mario games shouldn't have themes in Mario Maker. In fact, world 1 of NSMBW is the most accurate depiction of what the Mushroom Kingdom truly looks like. It's what ot should have looked like in Odyssey and what more Mario stages in Smash should be modeled after.

In Super Mario Maker 3 they should add New Super Mario Bros. DS, Wii and 2 as game style, They should add Yellow Toad, Nabbit, Orange Shy Guy and Light Blue Shy Guy as playabal charaters. Add add up to 8 players. They should add Beach Theme, Mountain Theme, Volcano Theme, Crystle Theme, Sewer Theme and Autum Theme. They also make custom music and custom bosses. They should make as many levels but up to 30 Worlds. And They should make custom cutsceen too. They should make that in co op or verus player they should pick any charater. They should make that Nibbit, Orange Shy Guy and Light Blue Shy Guy can use items like the others.

Wii was always more visually appealing to me than U. Nintendo didn't do U justice either because there's barely stuff pulled from that game and added to the tool set. Nintendo maybe not should had, but just maybe could've made the NSMB series as a whole as a game style in base smm2 rather than backing themselves in a corner and only representing U.
