Most people don't really understand how hard it is to be an artist. Artist only make money when they perform. What you don't know is that all of their money is tied up by record executives. They get a small percentage of their record sales. A very small percentage. Then not only that if you are in a group. That money has to be split multiple ways. Often times the artist sometimes go without getting paid for performances. It's tough then they have managers who get them into bad business deals. That causes them a fortune. Then not to mention if they ended up having a fail marriage. More money gone. It's great to be an artist so they say. Not really if most artist was smart they would have a side hustle. I always say have a college degree under your belt. Have a side gig singing really does not pay the bills. Like we really often think. Artist have it extremely hard. This is the stuff that no one talks about or mentions when it comes to being in the business.
