I lived near Tervuren (Belgium) for a few years and tried to learn Dutch...it's a great language. This is a great chance to go back and re-learn it! One word that was missing from this video that might be helpful though, is "omlegging" or "wegomlegging". We used to see that a LOT in Belgium and had some grand adventures following the signs, until they would inevitably peter out in the countryside somewhere. We grew so fond of that word we renamed our road in NH that! lol.

+barbara rossell yes, i know, this word is used a lot in Belgium especially on Sunday morning when there is a cycling contest... however, the Dutch do not use this word at all; it is a typical Flemish word

+SertavisSaviPianist no reason to be frustrated... learning a language is a process where you have once in a while these moments... just continue and then it gets better; for speaking you need two things: a good grammar knowledge and real practice... if you have dutch friends or colleagues ask them to speak dutch with you...

Why does the SCH in the words SCHOOL and SCHIPHOL sound different? The SCH in school has that sG that comes from the throat, yet the SCH in Schiphol sounds more like a SK in this video.
