Fun fact: During the Championship game of Division 1, the LA Riot have FIVE players from the original game's player team on their roster. Clayton Wescott, the canonical rookie at QB, Jonas the Wide Receiver, and Diggs the running back are the three rookies you can pick from in Blitz One. Darryl Klinnsman, their safety, is one of the Veteran players you can choose (the canonical choice is Lawless but he retires after the championship). Bruno Battaglia is the player you pick up after D3 ends.

If only sadly EA owns the rights to Blitz for now since Midway went bankrupt. They did release another NFL Blitz in 2012 (thanks to their exclusive licenses) that has many of the Blitz The League create a team logos in there for created teams but I'm not sure if the real team logos are in there as well. I'd love to see netherrealm Studios buy the license. Imagine how gruesome the Injuries would be with how they do the xrays and fatal blows in Mortal Kombat. That's what I think inspired them for MK9 in the first place.

Blown leads aside, it was a Rubber match between two League front runners, complete with two opening kickoffs returned for Touchdowns IN A ROW, Franchise getting hurt at the end, the game-winning field goal as time expires… Franchise canonically ruptured his achilles when he Fractured his ribs and healed up literally in time for good games and the Trophy ceremony! If that isn’t peak sports storytelling, show me what is! (I know it’s just a game, but it’s a really good one)

Love the series man.. I remember when this game was popping! Just a fun thing for you to try if you have your unleash just run as far back with your qb to where your receivers are out of sight and then launch the ball in the air and then use your unleash catch to get an easy td no matter where your at in the field. It's a glitch that never got fixed and not very many people knew about it.
