The reason that the band was this famous was because every boy had a different tone, different accent and basically different personalities but they made an amazing blend of it. In the band, Harry and Zayn had the most solos, followed by Liam. Louis and Niall had the least solos. Louis was mainly credited for fighting with management and taking charge, and changing the tone of the band from bubble gum pop to a more mature sounding music. Louis has the most writing credits out of the boys followed by Liam. In solo careers, all the boys are doing incredibly well. Harry's music is 70s, 80s inspired. Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Freddie Mercury are some of his inspirations. Louis has the Brit pop, rock music, eventhough most of his debut album is acoustic sounding. Beautiful none the less. I think that he has the most amazing lyrics. His inspirations are Green day, Oasis, Artic monkeys. Liam has taken the Justin Timberlake route. Club music, Electronic music. Usher, JT, Pharrell Williams are some his favs. Zayn had Urban music and RnB. R Kelly, Usher Niall is more of Soft folk, soft pop. Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Dire straits are his favourites

when i listen to this song it takes me to a different headspace, but watching this video, especially at 4:47, i just cry because it’s so beautiful. fool’s gold is so sad and so beautifully written by our boys, with such pain and beauty mixed into it that it creates such a peaceful melody. this performance justifies that - and watching niall’s face at 5:16 makes me so happy cuz he looks so proud🥺💘 the hint of pain on his face while he sings really enhances the meaning of this song, and although it makes me cry - i am so grateful for them and this song ❤️
