This harpist is PHENOMENAL. No question. I am in total awe. She plays stunningly. However, she wrenches her neck to the left repeatedly throughout the performance, which is a guaranteed way to injure her neck and shoulder irreparably. I notice in other videos that this is an ingrained habit of hers. I would not call that total mastery of body, and I hope with all my heart that she will consult an alignment practitioner, Alexander Technique or otherwise, to correct this. She is very young and the damage may not show up until 10-15 years later. My first harp teacher injured her neck and upper body so badly from overpracticing and similar misalignment habits that she can no longer have a performance career, which is sad for her, but even more so for all those deprived of her beautiful music. May the incredibly talented Lavinia have a happier fate and a long career.
