NTV PANORAMA: Rwenzori conflicts; scars are yet to heal

The Rwenzori region has a history of ethnic disputes and violence. In November 2016, a dispute between government and the Omusinga of the Rwenzururu kingdom, Charles Wesley Mumbere, erupted into clashes leading to the death of over 100 civilians and 15 police officers. Many of the victims who lost their loved ones are yet to receive justice. Others have never been compensated even after the president gave over 200 million shillings for this cause.
