I have been following up on Sifuna, consistently, since 2022 general elections. This chap stays vindicated by the public domain. He has always appeared straight forward, with high emotional intelligence and very loyal to his mandates, either as a senator or as the opposition's secretary-general. He moves with reason, that's why however over-prepared he's counterparts can be to face him, they can't out-do him with lack of facts. He's one chap a country would wish to have at least 10 of them in a government.

Why is Sifuna talking so much sense today. I'm surprised I'm shocked. Kudos Mheshimiwa. If we can all reason soberly like he's doing we will make progress as a country.

The conversation on austerity that we were all waiting to hear. We are waiting to see these changes implemented to curb excesses in Government operations.
@walexia6 ай бұрын
you know that austerity affects the poor the most right?
@Jeremy_Kiplagat6 ай бұрын
@@walexia Please elaborate on how excesses in Parliament will affect the majority of poor citizens. The excess needs to be curbed and redirected to essential government services. Ironically, Senators have this much fuel allowance and an ambulance in a county hospital will lack fuel since the budget has been slashed. We need to dignify our people by letting our systems work for them and leaders becoming servants of the people who elected them. Money should be allocated to the right places.

Most of you will agree with me that debates in Senate are so much mature unlike with National Assembly where they have silly points of order.

There is a higher bar, education wise, of entry to the Senate than in the House.
@Ndungu_Chege6 ай бұрын
@@Darubini2 if I got you right, you mean qualifications? I think the entry bar is the same. It all goes down to House leadership starting from House speaker downwards. Remember in Senate we have that Embu senator, Mundigi. National Assembly is led by jokers led by Weta and Ichungwa

Sakaja has been the greatest disappointment! But Nairobi is controlled by the State House, ndoo maana shamelessly, someone like Sudi gets Gabagge collection contract for Nairobi. Kenyans cannot allow this to continue happening.

Uhuru called for a lifestyle audit back then in 2018 and it never went well with some politicians associated with Ruto, they stated to claim that the move is aimed at targeting Ruto, yet Ruto never publicly commented on the issue,. Ruto as an MP for Eldoret North for 15 yrs he never bought a helicoptor but first term as a DP in the gava ya maombi si uchawi the wealth he acquired is beyond imagination. Why do you think the Unye gava decided to change our currency? How come politicians are spending billions during campaigns yet the salary of a president for 2 terms haifiki billion, there must be some quire motives as to why these people are fighting to be president

Allowances and your salaries are a huge burden for taxpayers, they should be reduced by 30% or 50%. Teachers and doctors manage the little they get, so the president, DP, MPs, governos, senators, among others should also be paid little so that we can have a balanced budget
