I actually remember Tripping Daisies being played either on CFOX or COAST in Vancouver back in the early 90s The rarest LP I have so far appears to be a 1965 copy of Beatles: Help! The Original Soundtrack. I think what contributes to it's rarity is that it's a Canadian pressing and it's also in stereo. But from what I can tell there's only one available for sale and it's never been sold on discogs

Hello GI! Man you have some really great records! I don’t own any of these obscurities you’ve shown here However I am a huge fan of Tripping Daisy and have been since living in Dallas back in the late 80’s and I did pick up the Good Records release of Jesus Hits Like an Atom Bomb and I love that record! I have a co-creator that I work with on my videos who still lives in the Dallas area and we shop in Good Records quite often. Him there physically and me on Face Time! LoL! I will have tip him off about your shop so we can stop in! Thanks for sharing these great rarities! Peace ⚡️🖖👽⚡️

My rarest according to discogs is probably my “Well At Least It’s British” by Alan Klein, the CDs pretty easy to get, but I think there’s a little over 20 owners on discogs, great album

Bought my 1st pressing of the Stooges for a dollar in the cut out bin. I am one of the old geezers but mine is one of the 207. Have a first pressing of Funhouse too. Used to trip to that one all the time.

Go list that test pressing now. That's how we get the site working for us. :D I think my "best" ratio between haves and wants is: 7 vs. 283, or 1 vs. 120, a test pressing and an acetate. But I do own other one-offs as well that people have tried to buy from my collection. I guess it's easier with "narrow" taste.

I have Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout on green and pink vinyl with yellow splatter. Only 2 people claim to own it. I'm gonna get her to sign it when I meet her again in December.

My local record store gave me a promo copy of Sonny Rollins: Freedom Suite. Awesome album and cleaned up well. Just checked - 3 people on Discogs on it. The value is I suspect not accurate - only one copy has been sold and that was for almost £200.

Jesus Hits Like An Atom Bomb song originally released in 1950 by Lowell Blanchard with The Valley Trio. I know of it because it’s on a soundtrack for a documentary called Atomic Cafe from 1982. Definitely worth searching for.

How can you determine how many of a particular record were made?
@NTXVinyl2 ай бұрын
Not possible in most cases. Record labels do not divulge those details unless it’s truly a limited/numbered pressing.
@brendan60932 ай бұрын
@@NTXVinyl fair enough, so if the record label says "Limited edition of 2500 individually numbered copies" i can assume that is how many copies are released.

Your Stooges pressing is the "corrected" label pressing, as the O.G. 1st didn't have "Stooges" on the big E label.

oh nice! I know there are several pressings from that year for sure. What an album!

I had an album that technically was commercially released, and was pressed but it never was sold… thankfully with the 7 year anniversary of Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 1, the estate of Lil Peep (now fully controlled by his mom, when I got my copy it was with the birthday deluxe edition of COWYS2… unfortunately I now am distraught as I am not sure if I should bite the bullet and buy what’s known as the COWYS1 Comic Edition which just dropped for the 7 year mark

What would have been interesting to see is how many of these there were for sale on Discogs, if any.

My rarest is "The Woman" by Grace Markay. I guess I am the only person on Discogs who has it? I got it free a while back and there is one for sale on Discogs, but I guess that does not count as someone having it? odd
