I was smoking a joint out front of the nightclub I was working at when Shifty Shellshock came to get drink tickets from the gm. I told him "I got one of these..." and he took the joint and smoked it with me. I met Shifty once. He asked me where the bathroom was. I pointed towards the back. He then began howling with laughter as he took out a flask and proceeded to urinate into it. He then began to chug from the flask and held a lighter up to his lips before belching a huge ball of flame. As I stood there shellshocked, he looked me in the eyes and said, “no one will ever believe you.”

I’m such a Nu-Metal fan that I’ve been to the very deep end of the iceberg, where at the deep end you hear bands like 20 Dead Flower Children, SORE, and Presence A lot of these more underground and unsigned Nu-Metal bands were on Farmclub in 2000 and 2001 on USA Network, Farmclub was a music show on USA Network from 2000 to 2001 and had a ton of Nu-Metal bands on the show, they would also bring on bands that were unsigned to get them exposure to get signed by a record label.

I live there and have been to several mixed bill shows where there would be one death metal band, one hardcore band, and... one nü-metal band. I'm so glad Finn mentioned the nu-metal dress/gear code. If a band didn't have 4 of these 5 requirements, they were "posers"! -Warwick, Spector or obscure boutique bass, with a rack mount SWB or GK bass amp. Must be plopped right on top of a cab sans-rack, and the 1st cab has to be at least 6x10 -Mesa dual rectifier with PRS, ESP, or Ibanez. Guitarist will have short-financed a triple rectifier if he was dumb enough to think he needed the extra power -Drum kit has to be overkill but only use 75% of it at most, with bonus points for acrylic shells or 2-4 bass drums with 2 pedals going to the one on the left -Snare drum must be tuned so high that it sounds like a piccolo snare. Vinnie Paul took all the heaviest snare sounds in the 90's so everyone had to make do with what they had. -Any clothing is fine really, as long as it's way too big and something you'd want to wear back in middle school

"Raise Hell" is the only Hed Pe song I ever really liked. That was the first song I ever heard of them back in the day, so I downloaded a bunch of songs by them and realized that song was an outlier not the norm lol

I saw Union Underground live back around 2000, they were a pretty fun show. Oddly enough, something made me think of that song just like last week.
