Bless your heart Lola. God go with you everyday. I grew up on about 3 to 4 acres of land with my family in Northwest Louisiana. My family had huge gardens about 6 of them and we worked them everyday. If my family still had that land I would bring you fresh veggies, fruit,and nuts from our trees. We also had wild Blackberries growing alongside the road. So that you would have the biggest and freshest food to serve all of your customer's. Sure hate I don't but want to come to Austin to try your home cooked food. Hang in there. God's eye is upon the sparrows and I know he is gonna keep watching over you. God Bless You.

Sadly, this establishment no longer exists as it has been priced out of the area. I remember going here not knowing if it was open or closed. Walked in and Lola was having her own wedding reception inside of the restaurant. Which she happily invited me and my party to join. We did not accept out of respect but she was just a wonderful person who made some very good food. I miss this place often.

The world is just going to chew up this good woman and spit her out. She's just giving ,giving and giving. Restaurant business is so hard, and she's spending all her income on feeding the "homeless" and raising other people's children. She was run out of Austin because she couldn't make rent. Why can't these "homeless" people work for her, help her out? Some people are just too good for this world and can't see how good-for-nothing others are. I hope God really does exist and looks out for this lady.
