Factorio. A game about space. The space between resources, like outerspace ya know. In between the planets where the resources are. But also the space between us, me and the crew of the USS Zisteauprise. We're just humans, see? We inhabit bodies. But also the space between the living and the dead, because Science Officer Svensen is dead, and I'm not. Rest in Peace Science Officer Svensen.

Using Nuclear Reactors as heat pipes. Dear lord, that is some expensive heat pipes. In just the current reactor alone, according to my counting that is 60 Reactors per branch, so 720 reactors in total that serve as glorified Heat pipes. I have no words for this absolutely brilliant atrocity. Fast forward a few months, and I now use Nuclear Reactors as more efficient heat pipes in my Solar Beam Receiver since regular ones cant distribute the 10 GW of Heat Input and I don't have the better ones yet. Thank you for showing me the way Zisteau.

Using reactors as heat pipes is such a genius move! It makes the whole nuclear power setup so much more clean to look at and build and (ignoring the cost) so much more efficient! I found an error in nuclear power plant blueprint. On one side you have 9 nuclear reactors. They produce 160*9=1440 MW. Since your reactors always on, they would be 1000 °C. So the distance heat can be transported by is 500/(1+1440/15)=5.15... Thus only 5 pipes or nuclear reactors can transport such big power. But heat also needs one step to transtort into heat exchanger, so full power can be transported by 4 nuclear reactors (our glorious heat pipes) to one heat exchanger. On that distance we have only 8 exchangers, so they consumes only 80 MW and the remainder is 1440-80=1360 MW. And its max distance is 500/(1+1360/15)=5.45... So full power can't be transported farther. Only 1235 MW (500/(1+1235/15)=6) goes to 2 exchangers. They consumes only 20 MW and we have ramainder = 1215MW and max distance for is is 6.09... pipes. But we need 7, so the farther transporting power is only 1056 MW. On distance = 7 we have 4 excangers (40 MW). Distance for 1016 MW is 7.27... Again we have losses. Transport 922 MW, consume 20 MW (for 902 MW max distance (Dm) = 8.17...); Transport 818 MW, consume 40 MW (for 778 MW Dm = 9.45...); Transport 735 MW, consume 20 MW (for 715 MW Dm = 10.27...); Transport 667 MW, consume 40 MW (for 627 MW Dm = 11.68...); Transport 610 MW, consume 20 MW (for 590 MW Dm = 12.39...); Transport 561 MW, consume 40 MW (for 521 MW Dm = 13.99...) - close, but we need little more; Transport 521 MW (approximately), consume 20 MW (for 501 MW Dm = 14.53...) - significant losses again; Transport 485 MW, consume 40 MW (for 445 MW Dm = 16.30...) - finally no losses, but let's check one more Transport 445 MW, consume 20 MW (for 425 MW Dm = 17.04...) - no losses. Thus the resulting full power is 80+20+40+20+40+20+40+20+40+20+40+445 = 825 MW ( Little more than half ! ! ! ) and 83 working heat exchangers of 144 built. Zisteau, please check this issue. If I am right, literally the half of your power plant is not working now. P. S. If I missed, let me know. P. P. S. Sorry, if my english is not as good as you wanted it to be.

Question: if you stagger the two columns of (active) reactors, say by moving one column up by 1 tile, each reactor would be touching 4 neighbours instead of just 3, so wouldn't that be a nice simple way to get an additional power boost? Naturally this is a pure hypothetical, given nobody civilized would actually perpetrate such a vile offence against visual symmetry...
